What's up everyone, Salt here! Who wants me to do a more in-depth guide to speedrun portal building? Edit: I've made an updated guide for this portal technique that should fix your the lava turning into obsidian problem everyone's been having in the comments.
I was thinking (you may already know) about connecting two portals at the same overworld location. One will take me to the nearest established local portal in the nether, the other will talk me to its real location in the Nether, thus having two portals leading to two locations in the nether... can be done I am sure, well almost... lol. Would be a benefit to fast traveling.

Btw on the back you put one block behind that pillar thing and one on the oppisite side then one in the middly front of those 2 (Block) (Block) (block) (Block)(block) (pillar) Its just to hold the water but u dont need to do it
you can do it faster by not placing the bottom blocks of the portal just do the sides then the top, remove water break the 2 bottom blocks and place the lava to make them both so you font have to wait for the water to go out

it has to be a source of lava not a flow basically a full block of lava and no slant if there is a slant with the lava you are using it will make cobble. Sorry about the people calling you dumb, you just needed somone to explain and not an insult.
Do you ever know the pain where your building this in a really great lava pool at the swamp and when your about to light it a zombie punches you in to the lava and as you scramble out he punches you again and you fall back in losing everything you worked for in that speed run including your diamond sword all of your armour and food and flint and steal and resources. I quit the world and deleted it after that......

Is this resource pack that he's asking about related to the textures of all the blocks? I've only ever seen Minecraft's blocks have the normal pixelated texture, and having the blocks not look like that kind of threw me for a loop.

you can do it faster by not placing the bottom blocks of the portal just do the sides then the top, remove water break the 2 bottom blocks and place the lava to make them both so you font have to wait for the water to go out
