Brad Kora is the drummer and he may as well have created the term “playing in the pocket”. He uses the hi-hat like it is the main vocalist instead of the snare. I’m obsessed with his hi-hat grooves too and can’t stop trying to play like he does. Truely inspirational. You can’t teach someone how to groove like that. It has to come from within the drummer. He just feels it so good!
