  • Welcome to the world of extraordinary screen recordings! In this video, I will take you on a journey through the details of Screen Studio.
    You can purchase Screen Studio using my affiliate link: daveswift.link/screenstudio.
    By using this link, you are directly supporting my channel and the content I create. Your support is greatly appreciated!
    This software is transforming the way developers and creators like you can produce cinematic/hollywood style screen recordings with precision. I'll be demonstrating how to use Screen Studio & detail all its features and benefits along the way. I'll even mention a few things that I think need improvement.
    As Screen Studio is an actively developed tool, the features may have been updated since the time of this video. To stay on the cutting edge, consider following Screen Studio's founder, Adam, on Twitter where he frequently shares updates and newly introduced features. / pie6k
    Please note: the video footage in this tutorial was not produced using Screen Studio. Instead, Swift Capture and CleanShot X were employed for recording.
    Grab CleanShot X via the Setapp subscription service (an absolute must have for software loving Mac users).

      No I haven't. I honestly wish these apps didn't try to include built in editors. I really just want a multi-track recorder for video.
      Choose your sources and hit record. Edit where you'd like (FCP, Resolve, Premier). That would be a great simple tool!

      Yes, there is an option in the record systems to record system audio.

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I have both, I use cleanshot most of the time but if you want a cinematic look, this will get you there. For long form tutorials, like I produce, I find the cinematic look to actually get a little fatiguing. I prefer it to look more real.

    How does this compare to screenflow when it come to quality?

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Quality of the screen recording should be identical.
      Screenflow has a much more robust editor.
      Screen Studio has automated zooms and mouse smoothing.
      I record 99% of my videos with Cleanshot X/SwiftCapture and edit in Final Cut Pro.

    • @siyaram2855
      @siyaram2855 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dave-swift Thanks for your reply. How come I missed the notification.
      I find screenflow recording to be sharp even after cropping. I wonder how they do it.

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe I know why...
      When you record your screen on the mac, you're recording 2x the resolution you think you are.
      1920x1080 is actually 4K.
      This is because of the Retina technology that all Macs have had for quite a while now.
      Essentially, the pixel density is super high.
      So when you record at 4K and zoom in even 2x, there is no loss of clarity on a 1080p video.
      This is similar to TH-camrs like MKBHD who have been recording on 8K Red Cameras, so they can zoom/recompose the shot in post without noticeable quality loss.
      p.s. TH-cam is terrible at notifications for replies. I have to actively seek them out.
