For those wondering, Sophia Weaver passed away in May of 2019. She had undergone 30 surgeries by that point and was living with daily seizures, choking spells, and diabetes. Her family made the decision to transfer her from 24/7 medical care to hospice care where she could actually experience the world for the first time in her life. The surgeries she had to undergo constantly were extremely painful and were sadly, only prolonging the inevitable. She had a wonderful last few months with family, going on adventures, doing many things (such as go to a salon and a movie theater) she had never been able to do or experience before.

Wow. These children have been raised by INCREDIBLE people. The way they love their sister is beautiful. They don't just love her, they ENTHUSIASTICLY love her. The family is literally perfection when it comes to love. But, let's talk about the interviewer, his ability to naturally speak to these children with disabilities is something he was made to do.
I don't think he was made for it per say (Don't misunderstand me, this guy is as close to an angel as we get imo), but he said himself it didn't come naturally if you watch his talk at Google a while back, it is a learned behavior (Which he emphasizes a lot) and that's his hope for this channel, to teach people that communicating is unique from person to person. The little tips he puts up in the videos explaining what he is doing as examples, he wants people to know they can also communicate like this if they put in the effort.
I just learned of Sweet Sophia’s passing. I had to come back and watch this video again. I wish everyone in the world could have Sophia’s positive and confident attitude, and the kind of support she has from her family!!
Her brother is SO SWEET. He really loves her so much. My heart!! Mom did a great job teaching her kids, really great job, but brother needs to get his own credit for being such an amazing brother. He just loves her to pieces.
It's shocking for me too, like I can get caught up in my own problems, then you see what other people go through, life can seem so unfair, but look at how the people who care about her respond, it's amazing.
You aren’t at fault for your first thought- you are for your second one. It’s normal to be shocked or surprised by things outside of the norm, but opening your mind and your heart in spite of that is what makes you a good person.
@@theclapsproduction5489 You know that humans are born to learn and that if he hadn't learned to love his sister, surely he would never have had that love and patience for her and wouldn't have made an effort to make her happy because people normally don't want to make an effort and the first thing we see in others is their physique before seeing how their personality is and that is why people distance themselves or want to avoid it since nobody wants to get into the lives of those people with disabilities
Her brother and sister are wise beyond their years and very articulate. I can see them both growing up to be something really great and helping alot of people.
I cried so hard, but not because I feel sore for anyone! But because I absolutely adore this family, the unconditional love, and understanding! Sadly there are still many people facing their disabilities alone, without the support! This is just pure!
Such a sweet family. I love watching her whack the crap out of the "Yes" button with such enthusiasm. Her siblings are amazing to her. I read a little bit more about her: normal kid who looked different. "Absolutely adorable" kept popping into my thoughts so I decided to share that.
"Normie" siblings with disabled siblings seem to love them with a touching depth. I had a friend who had a little sister with spina bifida, who died when she was still a child. He was so sad when he told me about her. "She was my buddy." he said.

Yes. She also lost her fight with high fever.

Wow. These children have been raised by INCREDIBLE people. The way they love their sister is beautiful. They don't just love her, they ENTHUSIASTICLY love her. A lot of siblings would feel negatively toward their disabled sibling. It would even be somewhat understandable if they were jealous of mom and dad's time, or felt she was a burden, or were embarrassed of her. But not these wonderful siblings. They are being totally sincere when they say they love her very much and think she's the cutest thing ever. Good job, Mom & Dad!

This young lady's brother is the sweetest and so pure in heart... he's an example of parenting gone right
The family is literally perfection when it comes to love.
The brother is such a gentleman. The whole fams lucky to have each other. Such a shame they lost such a treasure.
