Hi Marie, I love the way you’re explaining this! ❤️ would you be able to do more videos like this for people who are wanting to learn how to learn how to formulate their own recipes with the ingredients that you have been sharing with us all these few years. You’re amazing and I look forward seeing your videos all the time. Xoxo

After changing the amounts of emulsifying wax and cetyl alcohol till the cows came home with no improvement, I finally found the culprit that made my lotion destabilize/separate: the preservative!!! I was pulling my hair in frustration, so.. thank you for saving my locks lol!

I have formulated goat milk powder a few times as much as 5% this is only used privately had good results .
    Used Cetearyl Alcohol Butters oils
    Kept it simple
    Thicken without using Xanthem gum.
Gave to some to friends with no problems used Germal plus preservative.
Got them to use with in 6 weeks .
    With Vanilla and orange.
I would not sell this how ever
But happy to use this my self
I am happy you finally addressed this have been hoping you would .
I have also made Camel milk as well
    Still working on that.
Haven’t used powder in oil phase
    Thanks for that tip …
    Thanks for explaining

If someone wanted to use goat milk in a facial lotion, could they mix the goat milk with a little bit of lotion for immediate application? Instead of incorporating it in the lotion for bottling.

Due to its pH and other qualities, it would potentially destabilize the lotion formula, its pH, and/or disrupt the germicidal properties of the preservatives used in that formula to preserve those particular ingredients, so my understanding is that it would be safer to formulate it intentionally instead and only use goats’ milk that way.
If you just wanted to add a splash of goats’ milk to a dollop of lotion in hand used right away, that could work I suppose, as the two would not be stored anywhere together in one bottle. But I think that’s the main concern. If the lotion’s actives only work in a particular pH range, it’s possible that could reduce their efficacy somewhat, though.

What is the goat milk powder for?
Is there a non animal use equivalent?
Kind of seems bizarre to take milk from another animal intended for its young…!

Goat milk is very beneficial for skin! It is rich in vitamins and fats that our skin loves ❤

@@melisamartin1450 Our skin certainly does love bioavailable vitamins and fats, but, there are ways to obtain those without exploiting animals. I know most people don't mean to, but that's just what happens when we take from animals without their consent.

Can you use homogenised goats milk(ie liquid) instead of distilled water?
