Ireland is one of the most famous destination in europe and I have to admit that Ireland is very beautiful country and the landscape is spectacular, that's why many tourist come to Ireland. I hope someday I can visit this country and explore all place in this country.
Dublin and Ireland rocks! Dublin, what an amazing city! History, live music, buskers, lovely food, lovely nature! And Van Morrison is from Belfast. Thanks Phoebe for this lovely vlog!
Love Dublin and Ireland in general. I've been twice, once for a solo adventure where my sister met me later on and then I had to go again for my honeymoon. So much fun - the people, the atmosphere, the food, the history are just amazing.
I found your channel a little over a week ago, and I'm binging your episodes and I'm hooked! Your energy and positivity are absolutely infectious. This might be the best episode yet.
I've been in Ireland once and experienced a sense of probably the most humble and friendly of people I can think of. The pubs are in so many ways the heartbeat of Ireland. It's where one could find the most of Irish stories and culture. I wish I could visit is again. Take care, Phoebe. I have a 38yo daughter with the same name.
Loved Ireland. Spent 2 weeks driving Ireland in March. Unfortunately only spent one night in Dublin and only managed travelling around on the hop on hop off bus. Thanks for showing what we missed ❤
The harp is also the symbol of Ireland. I have a harp necklace I wear on Paddy's day. Btw Phoebe there is a literary pub crawl tour you might enjoy. It involves visits to 4 different pubs frequented by Irish literary giants. It is guided by actors who also fuse performances with history.
Hi Phoebe! Thanks for sharing your fun travels and exciting new finds with us! Love the little history tidbits you share with us. You are such a beam of sunshine and your enthusiasm and authenticity is just a gift to witness. I'm having a blast travelling with you virtually! 🥰 Stay safe and have fun! Can't wait to see where you'll take us next.
I'm glad that in Ireland they drive on the 'right' side of the road. Same as Australia. I would feel very comfortable driving there. Ur hotel looked amazing
I loved Ireland, I did a Contiki and it was incredible. Also stayed a few days in Ireland. Got to really enjoy the countryside like Kilkenny and county Cork, I would happily go back one day. 🩷 Can't wait to see where you go next!
I was there in 2022, for three weeks. It actually rained three times in the daytime. It rained almost every night. I had drizzled seven or eight times. I enjoyed the National Leprechaun Museum, in the Jarvis section, right across from the Jarvis LUAS station. The LUAS can take you to several different areas just outside Dublin. If you are staying in Dublin, no need to rent a car. Traveling outside of Dublin may require a car, however the buses and trains are FANTASTIC.
I just discovered your channel like couple of days ago and looooving it! I sure want to be a solo traveler one day. Maybe not to vlog but just to discover myself outside of the introvert woman that I am. Is it okay to ask what video camera do you use? And btw, it is so inspiring to see that you're enjoying life again! You go girl! You're a beautiful young lady, you deserve to be happy and one day, you'll have it! For now, seize the day, one at a time! ❤️🥰🌷🌻
Hi again! I have spied a few spots where I have sunk a few pints of the black stuff! Take it from me, if you over indulge it makes for a very difficult day after. 😅 You can have a great night out in Dublin, but I find it crazy expensive. We stayed over a few months ago for a weekend near St Stephen's Green. It was fairly idyllic and the weather was really nice (a rarity this year - it looks like you got lucky😂). I'm glad you had such a great time.
Hiya! Dublin is one of my favorite city trips destinations. I remember them describing the pub as ‘husband day care’ and they’ve got plenty of more puns around. It’s such a great folk with a good sense of humour. There were people wearing billboard and walking around promoting Temple bar. It has a great vibe! Did you manage to see Allie Sherlock performing on the streets? She’s usually around on Sundays and she’s a real good singer. At the Guinness factory there’s usually great street performers around to soften the waiting time, was that the case with your visit as well? Canadian people are always real nice to everyone, every time I meet one they’re so genuine happy and interested. The live Irish music combined with the Irish people at the pub is what creates the real vibes. Your hotel is really next level! Seaside is always my favorite place to rewind. Seagulls can be brutal though. Thanks for sharing your experience and for getting back my memories from my 2016 trip. Have a great week ahead 🤙
It sounds like you’ve spent a fair bit of time in Dublin ☺️ there was no queue at the Storehouse which was great! Straight in! I looove all the live music. Wish I could film more of it to show the atmosphere it’s so fun 🥰
Harriet and I have been to Ireland many times, Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway etc.. Great cities. Hope you did the Ring of Kerry along the Dingle Peninsula. Did you find Dublin expensive? As you did , we stayed on the outskirts of town. Northern Ireland (Belfast) was the favorite of ours. Great food there. Enjoy your time there. Harriet, Jim and Yuki
🍁 I have just returned from 4 days in Dublin,🇨🇦 🇮🇪 (Also a girls trip) "girl power"🤘 and loved it. Walked and Walked some more. So much to see ...I'll be back . Slàinte Phoebe 🥃
Phoebe, i guess you're not in Naas still but my wife and i travel every week from Dublin to Naas to eat at Las Radas...its fantastic, if you're still there!
You forgot to say before biting into the pizza …”one bite … everyone knows the rules” Phoebe !!!!!! One other thing, did you fly out of JFK or Newark and straight to Dublin ? How long was the flight ?
@@travelforphoebe I have not been to North of Ireland, but I used to date an Irish man. Years ago I went to Ireland for a wedding with him. We budgeted 8 days for the trip. Not everyone sees the Aran Islands, but if you can I would make the time to see the West Coast (Galway, Cliffs of Moher, etc..). He said that many people consider that region the "true Ireland".
Ah welcome can't believe you're here! Hope you got a chance to not just do the tourist traps (quays bar for example! ) can totally help if you need tips for the rest of the country ! Hope you have a blast
They’re Herring Gulls. They’re massive and pretty aggro. They’re (I think) the second biggest species of seagull after the Great Black-Backed Gull (also found around the Irish coast).
Hi Phoebe, I am from Wales, nice to see you close to my home. I started my travel vlog Dr Dayan Travels thanks to you. You inspired me and helped me work through my fear of vlogging in public.
Welcome to our country 🇮🇪 🇮🇪 🇮🇪 (sorry that accommodation and food is expensive- hope the people make up for it ❤) Word of caution to tourists please avoid temple bar it is an absolute rip off price-wise and is a caricature of Irish culture
Ya the accommodation prices are pretty up there haha I was a little shocked! But it ended up working out well as I stayed at such a beautiful spot in the end :)
To anyone wanting to travel to Ireland please take this advice from an Irishman. Spend as little time in Dublin as you can. I'm not saying don't go but it's not a good city and most Irish people that don't live in Dublin hate going there. It's overpriced, dirty, busy and is full of tourist traps. Head West, North or South, the Midlands have their charm too but Dublin is very overrated.
@hangnrashr Tourism Ireland send their thanks. As a Dub who lives in the city I can confidently tell you to ignore this man. What you're witnessing is typical anti-Dublin bias from Irish people who don't live there. Dublin has plenty to offer as brilliantly demonstrated in your video Phoebe including a great food and drink scene, many beautiful city centre parks (Stephens Green, Merrion Square, War Memorial Gardens & Phoenix park) and even some scenic natural beauty spots (Howth Cliff Walk, Killiney Hill). Yes it's expensive and there are tourist traps like temple bar that can take this to stupid levels but there's also so much history and culture in the city for those who seek it. I would agree though that you can do Dublin must-sees in 48 hours or a long weekend if you plan effectively but a week would not be wasted.
It's sad that so many Irish people dislike Dublin, but then it's pretty common to hate on the capital in most countries. Dublin has plenty of things to see and do for a few days, and Dublin outside of the city centre has lots of gems
@@kevinfagan7549 Don't worry Keven most of these Dudes that are Downplaying Dublin are from the Wee North, I have been to Belfast a city of yesterday...Dublin is a city of tomorrow. ... Dublin is a far...far.. richer City in every way......these Dudes are jealous British not Irish.
Great video. My advice is get out of Dublin ASAP and head for the real Ireland, west coast. Visit Dingle in Kerry, Doolin in Clare, Galway city! You will see scenery, villages and towns that will blow your mind! Dublin is NOT Ireland's best mascot imo
