Seth's beat sounded better. Kyle your beat was good too, but it sounded so stock.. Garage Band is okay on iPhone when you're on a short flight or something. Goes to show you that the right sounds/effects plus knowing your DAW makes a huge difference. Very entertaining video.

you’d be surprised what you can make when you have experience in garageband. when i first started producing i started in garageband for like 10 months before getting logic. i made some songs that sound amazing for garageband. obviously good equipment can help, but you need to be good at the basics before anything else

For people wondering yes it is possible to make good beats on garage band. I started producing on garage band and at first it's difficult but once you understand it it's much easier. The trick for drums is to put one shots into the sampler so you can get better quality. Trust me DO NOT get de motivated if you use garageband, my most popular video on youtube with 16K views is a beat made on garageband and also my first few sales where beats made on garageband. I've now switched to FL Studio for obvious reasons but for people just coming into producing Garageband isn't bad to use.

You can actually convert those MIDI tracks to waveforms and then can put whatever effects on them from there... and even use the the guitar effects on them too (in GB)

Do a beat battle with external sounds only by making voice sounds, hitting or shaking things, lighter flick, etc. But u are allowed to use a synth or keys for the melody

I’ve been thinking making beats for almost 8 years now, always used GarageBand on iOS, because I didn’t want to sink money into it when I just do it for fun. Definitely feel like my experience that comes with using it for so long, has made me know all the tricks to not make shit sound like GarageBand, I sit and EQ all my drums just to make it sound right, but I’m looking forward to my time with FL, I’m trash but once I get the hang of the DAW, it will be cake
