Thanks Jon, Enjoy your unique channel. Interesting to see this type of property and enjoyed your video on the condos in Chiang Dao. Lived in BKK for 11 years with my Thai wife and 2 kids but now in UK since covid & losing my job in BKK. We'll be heading back to TH to live once the kids have finished their education. Was thinking Lamphun / Lampang area to move to and hopefully build somehwere. Still have a house in BKK. Saw your video on Thairish Times & hope all works out well for you. Keep up the good work as giving lots of us some ideas for the future.
Thanks mate, really appreciate that :) Yeah those are great cities to live in!
You were right next to our village of Ban Pha Nam. (350 people) The village with the two stupas up on the small mountain. There is a lot of farm land for sale in this area and a number of repossessions. The banks sale the notes on these properties fairly quickly to finance companies. We recently bought a foreclosed property well beneath the asking price.
Li is quaint little town that you will miss if you blink. It will definitely make you go stir crazy if you do not have something to keep you busy, as in farming. 555
Hopefully we will see you about town if you come again.
Cheers,
Ah cool, yeah I like Li, know what you mean about the land for sale there are so many signs on the road when driving through :) I actually got another video from there for another repo coming in a few days :)
Interesting. Please include details about power, water, and internet (fiber? speed? cost?).
I'll try add those into the next ones :)
Wow, another good cheap find with allot of potential. About 20k get it skim coated and some windows put in. I didn’t see power inside, but may have to put that. Lastly replace the wood with block or glass, and a real door or two.
Yep, fun to look at these cheap places :) I think I'd rip it down and start from scratch haha, thanks Tony appreciate the comments mate :)
hello everything great for you, you should explain in each condiction a farang can or not have land in Thailand....
Doesn’t look like teak, which wouldn't have been used to construct a cheap 'shack' - as you put it- anyway. No water and no electricity, probably a dodgy internet connection.
People buying a place like this would most likely be farming, so a little more information there would be useful. For myself I would definitely keep that shack if possible, you don't have to rebuilf there and an outhouse is always useful.
Interesting video by the way!
Thanks mate
Nice plot land jon
Yep, not bad for the price :)
I watch all of these videos but now I'm thinking what's the point if I can't own anything in Thailand. What is the point?
Here's what you can buy for her! - a shed.
@@clivebaxter6354 She loves it.
Thai wife can own and you can have rights to live and hand down to your children .. or lease and hand down
You don't own anything then and who would want to be there on your own if you split up@@jayguru6939
You are right but it depends where you are in life and your personal circumstances, Their are many things that can be done to safeguard your interests eg usufruct. If you have a relationship that as been working awhile then its worth considering. It worked for me
That's a ok price. its 74.82 sq ft
Yep, not bad at all :)
You can't buy as a foreigner, but Thai wife will say thank you Kwai falang
