1:46, I can't get enough of the differences between how Kida and Milo idle underwater. Kida, being leagues more experienced can effortless flow from form to form with little need to keep herself steady throughout. Milo, while still capable, is a lot more phased by the currents. My favourite detail is how as Milo's lower body started floating up, Kida had to help him out by pushing it back down and in response Milo immediately begins swaying his arms again to keep himself still
Ok... The Heart of Atlantis was originally a meteorite that crashed to Earth on the landmass which became Atlantis. The primitive tribesmen who discovered it were affected by the crystal's unique energies, evolved physically and mentally FAR beyond their peers. While most tribes were using wooden spears with stone heads, the Atlanteans had developed a technologically advanced civilization that allowed them to colonize and conquer. And would-be attack on the city itself was a disaster because of the Guardians.
+Gunganfan Yep, and I like how the movie implies that both Greek and (I'm assuming) Norse civilizations attacked the Guardians and failed. It's a subtle touch i wasn't able to catch when I first saw the movie.
Some fans also speculate that the heart is concious and it was not happy being used to conquer and destroy. So it caused the tsunami to bury itself deep into the ocean, so nobody can use it again.
+SnitchSeeker King Kashekim himself implies the same. On his deathbed, he states, _"In a way. The crystal thrives on the collective emotions of all who came before us. In return, it provides power, longevity... protection! As it grew, it developed a _*_consciousness_*_ of its own."_
SnitchSeeker - I'm not sure if "happy" is how I would think the Crystal reacted. I think the Crystal's powers really depended on the state of its people, especially its royal family which the Heart has an especially strong relation to. A happy city means lots of positive Crystal energy and a thriving empire, whereas a more tyrannical rule would probably result is things like the flood, or worse. The King grew arrogant for power, the Crystal took in that arrogance and reacted accordingly. He says "The Crystal's power proved too great to control" but I don't think it was the Crystal. It was his emotions.
I enjoyed this movie greatly but I have a bone to pick. King Kashekim Nedakh had good intentions but I hate that he allowed his people to grow in ignorance of their own culture & history. When you don't know your history you tend to repeat it.....

They can't read, their technology that made them a great empire is useless, hell they don't even know HOW they are living; that the Crystal is keeping them alive. They just wear it cause why not? They've always worn it, it does things for them.

@@ricvaladez2563 You're forgetting also when she first got to the surface as a human for the first time with NOTHING on. And Mulan in the lake too with a bunch of naked dudes
Disney has a lot of censored nudity. Cinderella, The Jungle Book (I get the jungle is hot but just look at Mowgli), The Rescuers (not the part you're thinking), The Little Mermaid, Mulan, Tarzan, several others
Their biggest question in this scene is what the light/power source is. Mine is how the heck they managed to stay submerged for so long. They must have some huge lungs!
WarriorBazooka the light came from Kida's necklace. That's why she needed to come with him. Btw, her necklace and Rapunzel's hair have a lot in common, healing powers and the ability to glow.
Same here on how Milo's boxers still stay intact and didn't slip off when swimming, given that his boxers aren't clearly designed to get drenched. Must be all cartoon logic, of course 😅😅😁😁😂😂
I think Kida did that slow-stripping-skirt of-thing on purpose because even if Milo didn't know how to swim, that look she gave him after getting undressed would have totally convinced him to go swimming with her either way. (And that's because Milo is her only hope of finding the answer she's been looking for in millennia) 😏
I've always loved water animations...especially the way the hair moves. While this isn't as stunning as, say, Ariel, it's an excellent work nonetheless. Great job, Disney!
Well, it's likely that there aren't many chemicals in the water like chlorine in a pool, and in this case I wouldn't say it's too far off for the crystal to be providing them a greater degree of physical endurance.

This scene in particular is kinda givin me Abzu vibes with them swimming underwater exploring and discovering the ancient ruins of a once great city.
It's been a long time since I last thought of that game.
I think its hilarious the way he slaps his head on the water when he says why don’t you lead the way
I'm sorry (not sorry) she is the most beautiful princess, even if she's not Disney. She is absolutely unique and stunning..
Karlacamila Rodriguez she is Disney just that Disney tends to ignore Atlantis.
lunerblade13 I Know Atlantis is Disney produced but what I meant was that she isn't included in the DISNEY PRINCESSES group 💗
Karlacamila Rodriguez point
Karlacamila Rodriguez her movie didn’t turn out so great and caused lots of problems. Not to mention her not having a song....which demoted her out of the Disney princess circle.
Apparently this movie was originally 2 hours long. Disney - make *that.*
Well the other movie in production during this time was called "The Kingdom of the Sun" and was totally scraped and turned into "The Emperor's New Groove" so if they do that they better give us "The Kingdom of the Sun" as well
@@chickpea Empire's new groove fits better for that movie.
The closest 2 hour Disney films are Zootopia and Frozen 2. I think. Just a guess.
Seeing this I was literally reminded of Avatar, Pocahontas, Little Mermaid, Tangled all in one clip! I want to see the full movie, it’s been so long!😍
Magic glasses
Richard Lew just like Harry's in Goblet of Fire, right?
Pause at 1:16 Milo´s expression is all:"Way to keep it smooth, you dork." lol
How did this film get mediocre reviews, It's not traditional Disney and that annoyed everyone? Come on, an underrated film for sure!
Kida, what are you doing? Lol
Nowadays I can't believed Disney dared to show a half-naked woman in one of their movies
Well their is Ariel who is practically naked as a mermaid, and they market the hell out of her at toy stores.

Not one comment?
This scene is great!
Not one, but two
Not two, but three
Kida's expression when Milo dives without knowing where to go just screams, "He's so cute" lol
Their biggest question in this scene is what the light/power source is. Mine is how the heck they managed to stay submerged for so long. They must have some huge lungs!
Milo swims pretty girl.
WarriorBazooka the light came from Kida's necklace. That's why she needed to come with him.
Btw, her necklace and Rapunzel's hair have a lot in common, healing powers and the ability to glow.
Bruh Kida got me so bricked up when I was young… and now Doja Cat has cosplayed as her for her bday, my life is complete
How is Milo seeing anything, he’s wearing glasses underwater
Same here on how Milo's boxers still stay intact and didn't slip off when swimming, given that his boxers aren't clearly designed to get drenched.
Must be all cartoon logic, of course 😅😅😁😁😂😂
I love how Milo does a triple take when Kida begins to remove her sarong. A double take wasn't enough, he had to do a triple!
I wonder what Kida was thinking as she was doing it, I wonder?
I think Kida did that slow-stripping-skirt of-thing on purpose because even if Milo didn't know how to swim, that look she gave him after getting undressed would have totally convinced him to go swimming with her either way.
(And that's because Milo is her only hope of finding the answer she's been looking for in millennia)
😏
That would´ve definitely turned me on.
This movie should be made live action after beauty and the beast.
I feel like if Glen Keane had animate the hair in the water scenes it would have been amazing
Kirsten Lucent wait, he didn't?
2:23 showing their conquests
more like their defense system, but who knows.
I've always loved water animations...especially the way the hair moves. While this isn't as stunning as, say, Ariel, it's an excellent work nonetheless. Great job, Disney!
Why is it in every cartoon or movie, everyone can OPEN THEIR EYES underwater !?
Well, it's likely that there aren't many chemicals in the water like chlorine in a pool, and in this case I wouldn't say it's too far off for the crystal to be providing them a greater degree of physical endurance.
Most water is safe for your eyes. Pool water is bad for your eyes because of the high amounts of chlorine.
@@MeargleSchmeargle you do know that when your eyes sting when your underwater in a pool its because someone peed in the pool right
best movie soundtrack ever
In my opinion, the music when they swim in search of the mural, sounds almost magical.

At this moment he was trying so hard not to get a boner.
+Kelsey Curles ewwwwwwwwww
+Princess 2061 hey, don't be so rude. it's natural, kid.
Mille no its not!!!!!!!!!! its so stupid
+Princess 2061 Ah kid, you'll understand when you're older.
Mille im not a kid its soooooooo gross
1:34 I guess this is where Tangled get their inspiration when Flynn and Rapunzel got trapped in the mines
I would've drowned being underwater that long
Ahhh, the source of my hentai addiction.
Ah yes, me too
As someone who watched this as a kid, this does explain a lot of things about my current state.
🤣
How?

Kida
If Disney really wanted to make bank, they could’ve just released a fully translated shepherds’ journal instead of a Stitch and sow sequel.
i am still fall in love with Kida
