Thank you for this video. I just started Dunkin and worked the drive thru and I feel like I totally bombed. Never worked this type of job before. I had the hardest time punching in the drink orders went home feeling really defeated.
No I just started too (5 days ago) and I was so slow putting in the orders that I frustrated a few customers … I wanted to cry and go home but I hope I get the hang of it soon.
@@dxzwq6365 YES I DIDDD!!! I stayed and I’m so glad I did . It gets so much easier, I’ll say about a month after I made this comment I got the hang of it. Gets easier everyday and you’ll learn something new everyday. Be patient with yourself is my best advice and don’t get upset if you make a mistake cause you’ll make tons.
@@ke1ra I quit the same day but I promise you it’s not bad at all. My nerves are just bad & multitasking isn’t my thing. It was easier working the front cash register than taking orders at the window. It’s not bad! & having a positive work environment helps!
I'm new at Dunkin, however it seems as if all you really have to do is remember where everything is labeled at. So, remembering where things are on the register is key. Also knowing to give back change which is basic math. Could you make a video show how to make drinks and what to do to prepare each drink for an order?

Could you do a Sandwich Station guide? Also I do have one question when you mentioned about prices here 4:11 what did you mean by it makes it easier to take the money in? Everything is seemingly labeled on the register, so it seems like just knowing where things are is really all you need to know and after a couple times shouldn't be hard, if I'm reading correctly. Also what if an employee wants to make an order for themselves, like when they clock out for instance?
Totally agree...i used to be a baker there and liked it. Then got let go during covid Reapplied and was up in the front. Quit after a week..between the complicated register and the customers..i was DONE

I've been watching you for years and I don't even work at Dunkin' donuts lol I've been watching you since 2015 when I started working for a company called Safeway which is a grocery store. I thought you stopped working at Dunkin' donuts though

Dunkin is the worst fast food to work at..... the manger ,owner, corporate doesn't care about there employees, ........when I worked at Dunkin the manger had a seizure and the owner was there and the owner said ok guys the medical is on there way but the show must go on keep taking orders .....it was like they didn't even care ......plus the pay sucks to deal do all that expected work ...Dunkin is always hiring because ppl keep quiting
So im applying to my first job at dunkin and i am watching these videos to prep in case i do get the job, none of the videos i have found explained exactly how the blue numbers on the left affect the order. Ik this was posted a year ago but i would love it if you could explain

The pos was pretty tricky to learn at first but it turns into muscle memory and breaking things down my group.

If your an employee I think it’s free
This was posted after I quit, funny thing is that the register was the most stressful aspect of the entire protocol.

how do you add another order on the register. Sometimes I try to add 2 coffees and it just keeps changing the first coffee I put on there
