I like how Jon's involvement in NintendoLife allows him to basically upload whatever extemporaneous content he wants. It's fun seeing what's predominantly your typical gaming news channel mix with the variety content you'd normally only see in "one-man" gaming personality channels.
I agree - I enjoyed Nintendo Life before Jon, and also Jon’s content before Nintendo Life, but I love the way they’ve combined. Jon seems much happier now, and Alex and Zion seem to be embracing their creativity more as well, so it’s win all round.
One man/one voice since these guys only hire guys who make up an unnaturally low voice

Sonic Heroes did get rereleased on ps3 but i think only in Japan ☹️
If they make the rail grinding less funky id be so happy. In one swoop a huge issue with the game would be fixed.

Sonic Heroes is *THE ONLY* "3D" Sonic game I actually like, so a remaster/remake of it is more than welcome.
Sonic Colors needs a better version of what we got, delete the short stages and add new ones... also, i'm one of those weirdos that liked Lost World.
All 3 Advance games actually did get a Wii U virtual console release, just exclusively in Japan for some reason

Knuckles' Chaotix's exclusion from Gems Collection always felt so weird considering how there was an entire section dedicated to it in the game's Museum.
It was originally going to be included, but they had too many emulation issues with the 32X
the Rush games are also stuck in the DS.

That low-poly Sonic in the Sonic 3D Blast Saturn port special stages is the stuff of dreams.
That and Sonic Jam proves they really could have made an excellent 3D Sonic game for Saturn.

The original dev of Sonic 3D, Jon /Burton of Traveller's Tales actually made a directos cut of the game 2 years ago. You can find it online for free with all sorts of fixes and extra modes to the game. It's pretty darn cool to see something like that happen. He also runes a really cool youtube channel called GameHut.
Sonic Battle was great, and it's cool to see someone mention it. That robot was cool, you could edit its moves and copy every other character's moves
Let's not forget Sonic Riders and its direct sequel.
INCREDIBLY underrated games. There's literally a competitive scene for Sonic Riders, it was sorely misunderstood!

I figured Jon was older than me, but we were born in the same year. I would love to see the Saturn version of 3D Blast get some love. It's one of my favorite games.

John you forgot about 3 games! Shadow The Hedgehog, Sonic and the Secret Rings, and Sonic and the Black Knight!
Yeah, I really enjoyed Shadow the Hedgehog. One of the only Sonic games I ever 100% including Expert Mode. Secret Rings was okay and I liked the story for both that and Black Knight.
more games to add to the list:
1.- Sonic Colors, the game still looks gorgeous on the Wii , & is basically the example for "see 3D Sonic can be good shut up"
2-4.- the Sonic Rush Tetralogy (Rush + Adventure + Colors DS) they're basically even more of the Soni Advance but with the Fantastic soundtrack by Hideki Naganuma, also Colors DS has even more writing & a lot more characters show up
5.- Generations 3DS this one is so much different content, even Bosses that Sonic has never fought on the OG games, like the BioLizard from SA2
6.- both versions of Unleashed, while the 360 version has been re-released & is the real version, the Wii Version added a few interesting changes,like the Gaia Gate Mini-puzzle rooms,, or splitting Eggmanland in Levels, & making the Gaia Colossus straight up Punch-out

Sonic heroes was my childhood
Both me and Sonic were born in the same month in 1991 (he's a few days older than me) and that makes me feel like I have a special connection with the character. :]
Technically, Sonic Advance isn't a Trillogy. it actually has 4 games in it's storyline, the 4th being Sonic Battle, which takes place between Sonic Advance 2 and Sonic Advance 3, which is why we have an Eggman-built Gizoid as part of Sonic Advance 3. Gemerl, which is basically Emerl from Sonic Battle rebuilt by Eggman after the end of the events in Sonic Battle. Fun fact: The REASON the 4Kids dub of Sonic X pronounces Emerl as "EM EL" is due to the dubbers failing to translate the r in Emerl, so, they probably were like: "Well, we don't know if that's supposed to be an l or r, so let's just put into the script of it being EM EL", which the reason they failed to properly translate it, is because the R and L sounds we use in English, are the same exact sound between them. Which is similar to the dubs of One Piece, where the manga initially had Luffy's first recruit to his Pirate crew being spelled "Zoro", but once the 4Kids dub instead spelled it as "Zolo". He was also pronounced "Zolo" in the videogame adaptations of the story, till later games where they had their own story in the game, where I assume started was around the time of the Funimation Dub, where they correctly dubbed his name "Zoro", along with other changes. So yeah, when you're dubbing an anime, translating the "RL" hybrid sound is a HUGE pain in the butt. Not that I've ever experienced it. Since the game is old, I feel no shame in spoiling Sonic Advance 3's ending. After completing the final battle, Gemerl is recovered by Tails, where he reprogrammed Gemerl to act more like Emerl did in Sonic Battle, before Eggman had activated Gerald Robotnik's special coding he inserted into the Gizoid, as a means of taking revenge against humanity.

Nintendo Life lately has been putting out great quality videos. Jon has been a great addition to the channel with Alex and gang. Sonic Jam, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Rush, The Sonic Riders Series, Sonic Secret Rings, Sonic Black Knight, Sonic Colors, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Generations, and Sonic 2006 weren’t re-released.

Sonic hero’s is my favorite because it is the only sonic game I can actually finish without getting stuck at a stage easily
Sonic Battle was significantly underrated. Making Emerl to your own unique fighter and acquiring all the different moves is such a cool mechanic for a sonic handheld

Loved playing it on the ps2 when I was younger.
The Sonic 3D Saturn version was re-released on pc various times (not on Mega Collection Plus which had the Mega Drive version.)
Sonic Heroes was a PS2 classic for all regions on the PS3 so more like *6 Sonic games that were never re-released*
I would buy Sonic Shuffle on the Switch in a heartbeat, especially if it had online multiplayer.
I'm still convinced that Sonic Adventure 2 could have it's engine slightly tweaked, and have a WHOLE NEW coat of paint slapped on it, and that game would do amazingly even now.
Sonic Advance actually got a mobile rerelease in some asian regions, it's actually a pretty decent port

It would be so awesome to see these games re-released. I would personally be so hyped to see the Advance games re-released. I grew up with those games, and it would be so cool to see them re-released on the Switch!

There's also Sonic Unleashed, for a 12 year old game it still stands out with its gorgeous graphics, by far the best looking Sonic game, I know the x360 version it's backwards-compatible for Xbox Series and fixes most of the heavy frame drops, but it would be awesome to see a PC re-release as well.
We need a sonic riders port on switch. Those games were super underrated and so much fun

Sonic Heroes is always my favorite childhood sonic game since I still played it on my Gamecube, PS2, PS3 and on my android phone as the PS2 emulator.

It’s paradoxical how Sega can love rereleasing their Genesis titles so much yet they aren’t as keen on rereleasing their 5th-7th gen titles

Sonic Advance was actually released again on the GBA with Sonic Spinball. It's pcool two games in one package.
Sonic Heroes did get a port on the PS3's PS Store in Europe in Japan. It was a direct port of the infamous PS2 version. Would still be nice to see this rereleased worldwide on more modern platforms though.
The Saturn Version of Sonic 3D Blast got a port to the PC. The special stages are different, though.
They should do a sonic portable collection. That has the advance and rush games. The advance games so good and rush 1 is also amazing.

Sonic Riders and Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity are among my favorite Sonic games. SR:ZG has an BANGER of an ost that dont get the love it deserves

I want a 3d collection consisting of Sonic Adventures 1 and 2, Heroes, Colors, and any other good/fun 3d sonic games.
I will stan Dimps for Sonic Advance and Sonic Colors DS, the best Rush-style game, all day, everyday. I'm honestly still baffled as to how the Sonic Advance trilogy never got rereleased outside of the Japan Wii U VC. I'll buy that on every system, Sega.

This, this right here. This is why emulation is necessary for the preservation of games. The companies behind the game won't do it if it doesn't immediately print money, so fans have no choice but to take matters into their own hands if we want to go back and play these games without selling a kidney to afford the original hardware and games, assuming you can even find them.

To be fair, the Saturn version of 3D Blast came to PC-- and the PC version had Special Stages that looked different than the Saturn version.
But both versions share that phenomenal soundtrack 💙

Sonic Heroes did get a rerelease as part of the PS2 Classics line on PS3 in 2012, but only in Europe and Japan. The PC copy I believe was also reprinted in Europe in 2007, but it does deserve a rerelease on Steam and Next Gen.
