Nice vid Mr. Brown - I just bought a 91 from a friend of mine in a pinch for cash - it had the check engine light on after the engine warmed up, and the code it's pulling is for the EGR system - I'm gonna try this to see if it will help the rough idle, mine shifts a little rough, but not as rough as yours.
Hey. You skipped the one part I needed ! The removal of the EGR valve...The vacuum hose of the EGR valve on my 1992 accord ex has a screw in the end of it ! Where does it connect to ? Please help...
Brian is correct... I had the same issue, bought from ebay seller in California...search for VSS Honda. MUCH better prices than the stealerships. My new one's been working properly for 2 years ! DIY repair for under $10 instead of $280 at the dealer.

I think you have to remove console around the shifter, then the trim panel around the heater controls, radio, and then you should be able to access the module mounting bolts.
It's possible that the gauge cluster itself has a malfunction within the electronics for the speedometer. Recommend replace cluster with one from wrecking yard, or have yours repaired.
@@t3rmites No, it wouldn't. It would make the check engine light come on. Your problem sounds like ignition problems. Distributor cap, spark plugs, and plug wires. Sometimes the valve cover gasket fails and leaks oil into the spark plug wells, and fouls out those parts.
Damn, sorry man! I am having the same issues where if I am accelerating, the pedal will go up to a point, get hard and then the car starts to hesitate. I let off the throttle and give it gas and it will go again. It has also been shooting a code 43 off and on. Any ideas? Some people say it may be the O2 sensor... I don't know.
Check for codes by jumping the 2 pin prong on the passenger side kick panel the lil plastic panel pulls off its green i think, and it is a 2 pin plug put jumper wire in and turn ignition on for code flash for detailed speculation

Cleaning the EGR valve solved the problem on this car. I cleaned the ports as well as the EGR valve on my bronze 91, and when I was done, that car ran perfect.

I have a 1995 Accord LX coupe. Speedo stays at 20mph. 4 cylinder 2.2 manual. I replaced the speed sensor and no change. What else can I look into? When I turn the engine off the speedo goes to zero, as soon as I turn power to the switch, speedo jumps to 20. Sometimes while driving the speedo works but not very often. Anyone have any suggestions?
When the transmission is in drive, the car takes off fine in first gear, shifts fine into second gear, but when it comes time to shift into third gear, it seems to disengage (feels like neutral), until you back off of the throttle, then third gear kicks in.
I have a 1992 Honda accorded lx 4 door with a auto trany 4 speed and a 2.2l 16 value the engine runs like a dream with 215,xxx miles the trany not so well..when the car is cold I put it in 4 to take off and it thinks its in 1rst gear so I drive it like a 4 speed but even doing that I shit it to sec and it is still in first gear not wanting to go up to sec gear..i have to drive around in 1 and sometimes 2 gear for about 20 mins just to get all 4 gears when I get all 4 she runs like a dream!! (plz help) THANK YOU!

Too bad, the problem would have been the TCU (Transmission Control Unit). Under the carpet on the passenger side are 2 boxes. One is the TCU. Remove that 2 connectors then remove the 4 screws holding the box in place. Open the box, and in the bottom right corner you should see a burnt resistor. If so, You need to replace the TCU. Junkyard about $40.00 depending on where you live. A trick to test if it is the TCU is disconnect the battery for a few mins and then connect. Does you car drive normal? If yes,remove the box.
The car was not shooting any codes, no lights on the dash at all. I did have the owner of a transmission shop go on a test drive with me, and he did tell me that the tranny needed to be rebuilt.

Would the malfunction of this specific censor cause the vehicle to completely stall?

My speed sensors fine on my 91 accord 2.2 but i need video to replace egr,,,hope i can do it soon before my trip
I just used wheel bearing grease, the only grease I had on hand at the time.

Does the 92 ex not have overdrive?
I believe it does, but not sure. If it says D4 on the gear selector, it more than likely does.

2000 honda accjust put the trani in when i drive when it gets to a surtand speed it slmost come to a holt like it down shifting it an automatic
