I bought the pattern and was great to look at this video first. I am just wondering if I can do a different stitch pattern for the top part. Just a simple stitch that has the same row heights. Or maybe just the part at the top of the sleeve where you fold it before seaming. Just some interest on the sleeve. What do you think will work? Like a griddle stitch? Can't wait to do that mosaic. 😊

Working on this pattern on row 5 am I doing sc in 1st stitch chaining 4 sc in next chin 7 skip 7 sc in next and then am I chaining 4 and sc in next or is it chain 7 all the way across?
How many stitches to begin with for size M
I've bought the pdf pattern and doing the size small, and also following the video. This is where I'm getting confused as the pdf and the video don't match. I have 98 stitches for the back, 34 stitches for the right front and 34 stitches for the left front, a total of 166 stitches. Always for the size S in the pdf it says that I should have 154 st. Also in the video I'm supposed to start the mosaic with the RS facing. In the pdf it tells me to start with the WS facing. What should I do?

All your designs are beautiful! Can this cardigan be made with buttons?
Yes you can! When working the ribbing place stitch markers on the rows you would like buttons, then do chains and skip sts for the width of the button hole.
