I love this. Especially as it mentions Jesus as “The Word of God” and validates the New Testament and everything Jesus said. He was there before the beginning of the creation of man and all things were made through him. Praise The Lord and our Heavenly Father for his great Love and mercy! Amen!
I have studied Ancient India/Indus Civ. & find it fascinating that it says the serpent and "its Race" is said to have landed in India and it just so happens that the Nagas (serpents, many headed serpents are carved all over ancient temples& monuments) anyone who is a fan of Praveen Mohan will know of the constant inexplicable carvings, architecture, ancient technology, the varmanas, and written documents, "stories", legends, "myths" or truth related to the Nagas. I ALWAYS just had a natural instinct & feeling that the garden of Eden had something to do with or related to India. It's just something that I felt due to its ancient yet advanced civilization; If the servant landed there and the race followed then wherever they were thrown from wasn't to far from India ..... My wife has been literally obsessed with India since childhood; many may not believe it but she even was able to understand several different Indian languages without ever having heard it; I witnessed it myself on a trip there and I've been with her 24 yrs so I know for sure she never knew or spoke any of these languages.... She said she felt she was "Home". She feels completely like herself when dressed in Indian ethnic apparel and eats the food as if someone whom was raised there despite never being taught to eat with her right hand, which anyone whose been there knows theres a technique to balling up the food and eating this way. So many inexplicable things including dreams she has of certain places that I've looked into and happen to be actual real remote villages most haven't heard of. How does one explain all this? Who knows but fascinating indeed

@ktrnastr2 Hi, I'm glad for you as well, truly and honestly. I attended a catholic gradeschool k-6. I received a much better than average education, AND was utterly cured of christian delusion. I have been studying most religions throughout my life and truly believe the 10 commandments are a great model for living. The downside is only that so many people can't consciously choose to live this way. They simply can't behave without an imaginary, galactic babysitter, and threat of afterlife punishment. All these "Books" are writ in Hebrew and are a part of their Torah and Talmud. They were written in Hebrew before Arabic, and the Koran. Muslims were the last people to believe in one God, monotheistic. Ethiopia holds all these Books in Hebrew Scrolls. Nobody knows how the Ethiopians have all these Books - a few of which are in The Dead Sea Scrolls. This info can be easily found on the web.

Cyrus actually liberated the Jew from captivity and rebuilt the Temple because he was amazed by their God. Along the heavily traveled trade routes, the muslims kept the pagan temples open and charged a fee to those who wanted to worship their deities and idols. Adam could have said NO and refused to eat it from the beginning with the tree of life. It is as much as his sin as hers for the transgressions against God’s law, that is why they were both tossed out from Eden, because mainly, he also was supposed to have helped and protected Eve, instead he did NOTHING except doing the same thing as Eve, eating from the tree of life. It was also his choice not to follow God’s law/command. He definitely had the choice to refuse it, but temptation was stronger than he was. If he did refuse eating from the tree of life, humanity could have had a different story in life.

My question is how could this book have been written a few 100years BC if this references to the sabbath as sunday and corresponds to many of the happenings in the gospels. It sounds as if this book was written after Christ or portions there of.
It was highly edited! If you read the section about "sabbath as sunday" there is also reference to the 4TH DAY OF THE WEEK - WEDNESDAY. So count from Sabbath (Saturday) to Wednesday -> 4 Days. This Book has undergone a huge amount of editing by the Church Fathers and their Successors.

According to my research this book is a compilation of oral tradition. Many things in there sound reasonable and opened my eyes concerning Adam & Eve's feeling after being expelled from Eden and stripped of their bright nature. Some things however seem to be false tradition, i.e. imaginations of men, especially taken from the Jewish Talmud (which is a mixture of truth and lies). Especially the 2nd Book of Adam and Eve is very wrong when they say that the "sons of God" in Genesis 6 were the posterity of Seth and not the Angels of God that sinned against him by lusting after strange flesh. So how should we treat that book? Read it and compare the facts with that of the so called canonical books and the so called apocrypha. Toss out the trash and keep the good stuff :)

I like how this is supposed to be a very ancient document, but expressions like, “the crack of dawn” are used. I also enjoy the anachronistic imagery, like Adam and Eve exclaiming that the rock which covered them was “like a tent,” when they had never slept anywhere other than outdoors or in a cave. Still this was charming and interesting.

They had a choice and made the wrong one. If you ever had kids what did you do to correct them when they got out of hand and you didn’t like what they did, how did you handle it? Spankings don’t always work to correct a problem child, but consequences to their actions and behaviors work better. God also wanted them to learn discipline and respect towards His ruling. If you give a child everything, they do become spoiled and want more, because they don’t see what they are doing is wrong, but if they earn it, and your respect, they will make better choices in life and while being on their own. Of course they will still make mistakes and bad choices because of temptations and worldly possessions, but they will also learn the consequences from those actions and mistakes. Setting a good example for your children helps them develop into a better adulthood by learning discipline and respect towards you as a parent. At times and because of selfish interests, many children will still refuse to learn anything which is taught to them, and will commit the same mistakes over and over again, sometimes out of pure spite towards you. BUT isn’t this what humanity is doing now, refusing to listen to God’s/Jesus’ teachings and the Ten Commandments He gave Moses to guide His children??

It is a real text written in Syrian as far as I understand it. Maybe you have something against ancient scribes. Many cultures have information about Adam and Eve from oral traditions and records. There are passages in this text that give details which match what is accepted in the modern Old and New Testament texts.

All the books had to go through a test to make sure they were real and this one did not pass that is why it isn't included. Anyone who says it does belong doesn't believe in the truth
What test was performed? Who performed the test? What were the parameters and conditions defined for the test? Why do modern bibles no longer publish apocryphal books? What parameters were added to previous tests to make the new tests more strict? Why do various apostolic churches have copies of what was oral tradition on record? Are those testimonies somehow unworthy? Just because an ancient text doesn't translate to English well, does that mean it can't be trusted?
The only major point I found to be un-Biblical, in the first 20 minutes or so, was the creation of light and darkness after the Fall of Adam and Eve. I believe Genesis 1:3-5 clearly shows these being created before mankind. Lovely presentation though. Thanks

My question is how could this book have been written a few 100years BC if this references to the sabbath as sunday and corresponds to many of the happenings in the gospels. It sounds as if this book was written after Christ or portions there of.
It was highly edited! If you read the section about "sabbath as sunday" there is also reference to the 4TH DAY OF THE WEEK - WEDNESDAY. So count from Sabbath (Saturday) to Wednesday -> 4 Days. This Book has undergone a huge amount of editing by the Church Fathers and their Successors.

According to my research this book is a compilation of oral tradition. Many things in there sound reasonable and opened my eyes concerning Adam & Eve's feeling after being expelled from Eden and stripped of their bright nature. Some things however seem to be false tradition, i.e. imaginations of men, especially taken from the Jewish Talmud (which is a mixture of truth and lies).
Especially the 2nd Book of Adam and Eve is very wrong when they say that the "sons of God" in Genesis 6 were the posterity of Seth and not the Angels of God that sinned against him by lusting after strange flesh.
So how should we treat that book? Read it and compare the facts with that of the so called canonical books and the so called apocrypha. Toss out the trash and keep the good stuff :)

wow... whats crazy is that i just read revelations 2 and got stuck on verse 17 last night, and the hidden manna appealed to me as the mysteries of God. crazy.
I like how this is supposed to be a very ancient document, but expressions like, “the crack of dawn” are used. I also enjoy the anachronistic imagery, like Adam and Eve exclaiming that the rock which covered them was “like a tent,” when they had never slept anywhere other than outdoors or in a cave. Still this was charming and interesting.

They had a choice and made the wrong one. If you ever had kids what did you do to correct them when they got out of hand and you didn’t like what they did, how did you handle it? Spankings don’t always work to correct a problem child, but consequences to their actions and behaviors work better. God also wanted them to learn discipline and respect towards His ruling. If you give a child everything, they do become spoiled and want more, because they don’t see what they are doing is wrong, but if they earn it, and your respect, they will make better choices in life and while being on their own. Of course they will still make mistakes and bad choices because of temptations and worldly possessions, but they will also learn the consequences from those actions and mistakes. Setting a good example for your children helps them develop into a better adulthood by learning discipline and respect towards you as a parent. At times and because of selfish interests, many children will still refuse to learn anything which is taught to them, and will commit the same mistakes over and over again, sometimes out of pure spite towards you. BUT isn’t this what humanity is doing now, refusing to listen to God’s/Jesus’ teachings and the Ten Commandments He gave Moses to guide His children??

What test was performed? Who performed the test? What were the parameters and conditions defined for the test? Why do modern bibles no longer publish apocryphal books? What parameters were added to previous tests to make the new tests more strict? Why do various apostolic churches have copies of what was oral tradition on record? Are those testimonies somehow unworthy? Just because an ancient text doesn't translate to English well, does that mean it can't be trusted?

The only major point I found to be un-Biblical, in the first 20 minutes or so, was the creation of light and darkness after the Fall of Adam and Eve. I believe Genesis 1:3-5 clearly shows these being created before mankind. Lovely presentation though. Thanks
