We are in Kentucky. We had a problem with our garage windows. Finally, I taped legal size paper to the inside of the windows. Great help.

I live in NYC and was so excited and proud to hear about the bird safe glass! Hopefully it really does catch on everywhere

Love the videos Mark, I had a few question regarding bird house installation. On top of using a metal plate at the entrance of the box to prevent gnawing of the entrance hole would you also recommend installing a tube entrance of about 2-3 inches to prevent things like raccoons or other predators from reaching in through the entrance hole. Also I have read that the box should be at least 10-12 feet off the ground, does this sound accurate? Would you recommend using a standalone pole to mount the box such as a 4x4 or mounting it in a tree, it seem that the pole would make it harder for predators to reach it especially if I put 7 feet or so of HVAC pipe around the base so nothing could climb the 4x4. Thoughts?

You might want to give this video a look th-cam.com/video/y5mhvl98KAk/w-d-xo.html I talk about a lot these topics. My problem with mounting a house 10 ft in the air is that most people will not maintain them properly. I mount mine so the hole is 5 ft above the ground. This is mainly because house cats can jump 4 ft straight up and grab the adults as they come and go. Other predators like black snakes and raccoons can easily climb any height you can mount it. I have used both 4X4s and 1" diameter metal poles for my houses and they both work well. The amount of "predator guarding" you want to invest in the box is up to you but I feel mother nature doesn't provide predator guards for their natural cavities. Thanks for tuning in.
