Hey, I looked up your test kit, and it looks like it's just for testing for lead in paint? So you can't use that to say whether or not there are bad enough levels of lead in the plastic or metal. It can only judge paint.

I got ALOT of mids from the same brand, some have lead, some don’t. Just something to keep in mind.
Yeah, it's best to check and be sure. If you find out they do, you should be able to return them.
Home lead tests can tend to give false positives, so you likely shouldn't worry
@@BeybladeDad please please I implore you. Take a knife and scrape the underside very slightly. You will be surprised how many mid fakes have a thin coating and the metal underneath has lead present!!!!

Midfakes are unfortunately the future of beyblade. I am not going to spend several hundred bucks just to get a "authentic" version of a beyblade that is not much different than one i can buy for 20$. No matter how much people shittalk about it. I have 3 midfake beys and they all work fine
The only time I ever buy real beyblades is when it involves rubber parts or when I can't find a midfake for the beyblade I want (like why haven't I seen a jade jupiter midfake yet!?! Or even duo uranus?!) Oh how I wished their midfake counterparts existed T-T

Edit: actually, the only other reason I can think of is that whoever is making the midfakes are probably aware of the value that jade jupiter has so they never made a mistake for it? Like I can somewhat understand why duo uranus n blitz unicorno might not have a midfake (that I'm aware of) since they're part of a set (DX set, Strongest blader set) and not sold by itself even with sonokong.
Jade jupiter in the other hand is sold by itself with sonokong, so either A) there isn't a midfake for it or B) midfakes exists but stopped production bc of the expense n not breaking even. I'm leaning towards option A bc I haven't rlly seen anyone complain about the rubber quality
@@GordonMusliman hmm, all I see from aliexpress are fake beyblades from Rapidity, I haven't seen a midfake yet. Just for clarification, when said you found "midfakes," were you referring to the Rapidity/unbranded ones in aliexpress?

Ngl i still remember buying alot of fake beyblades when i was 9 because original are expensive and fakes arent that bad they are like shiny pokemon because they are in different color
Ngl there's adults that still do. I made these videos so we can look out for the bad brands, because not all are made the same. I've started to like midfakes, as they're more affordable and still have the correct parts.

That's a good point! I didn't scratch it to expose more metal; it always dulls the shine, so I tend to think it affects it. I'll definitely try it again 🤔🤔

I don't think swab tests work for testing metal or plastic. This was likely just a lead paint test, which means its results don't tell us anything.

Lead has adverse effects on the nervous and reproductive systems of animals. It takes only one lead sinker or jig to terminally poison a loon. There are inexpensive and safer alternatives to lead sinkers available at many fishing equipment stores made from other materials such as tin, bismuth, steel, ceramic and tungsten-nickel alloy. If your fishing tackle provider does not stock lead alternatives, request they do so.
There are chinese companies that kept the "supposedly" discarded molds of Japanese toys.
Most of the time, they use a different material to print out the toys. But they could definitely use the actual materials, they just cant sell it cheap.

Honestly, I used to complain about midfakes, but it honestly depends, especially rubber parts that which I avoid.
Crazy that they’re starting to use the takara Tomy logo now because usually that’s the sign of authenticity

Thank god I just ordered a mid fake beyblade because of corse it is way more affordable but I was nervous if it had lead and I’m so happy it doesn’t have lead, thank you so much for making this video it means a lot.

I would avoid any beyblades with rubber that are midfakes. The difference is very noticeable.

You should cut into one and retest. Could have a decently layered coating that wont release till quite a bit of use.
Scratch them a bit to get under the metal. Could be a non-lead coating.
THIS. Most of my extremely fake/mid fakes didn’t pop or barely popped but I took a knife to the underside on small areas and oh my god popped cherry red hot!!!!!!

Yes, if the Beyblades contain lead, over time and handling them Lead can transfer through the skin into your bloodstream. Even in low quantities it can be bad for our health.
Stay away from "Rapidity" fakes I know those have lead for sure
If you hold tit in your hands for like 8 hours a day every day maybe, but in reality, no. This is dumb fear mongering. Absorbing lead through the skin is only really an issue for people who work with lead all day every day

I bought 2 of those once. One broke out of the box but I actually used the other for a long time. Then one battle it shattered so violently it his one of the kids playing hard enough to bruise him.
That's one of the reasons I don't actually share the websites which sell these. I have however found the manufacturer..
I had those. Those were the only ones you could find easily in my country, at least initially. The bad ones flooded the market later.
Midfakes like that are A okay and are even tornament legal.

The metal wheels in general are shiny when they first come out of the box, but they dull quickly from air exposure unless you frequently clean them, I should know given how many official Metal fight Beyblades I bought back when they were coming out. Oddly, some still have a bit of a shine to them when I took them out of a storage box to check them a few months back. Hard to believe it's been around 10 years now since those times.
I made sure to have nothing but official releases back in the day and my Sonokong beat lynx has a really odd defect in it I've never seen in even any bootleg or "mid-fake" Beyblades, there's just a small pin sized hole in the side of the metal wheel, I always was concerned it'd cause it to break someday, but it oddly never did. This is probably common knowledge but Sonokong was the company that distributed the Takara Tomy metal fight series officially in South Korea up until zero g where I think it swapped to another company. There were some exclusive releases, though most were just Single packed releases of random booster prize beyblades.
I have a midfake and a real one the midfake out of the box is alot shinier than the original and it takes a lot longer for it to get dull

Do rapidity metal fight beyblades have lead? There isn't a single lead test on youtube done on them, just on midfakes.

Curious to ask, can you scratch the metal or something and then redo the test? Since the metal parts do get damaged from battling and we can check the interior to see if there is some lead.

I recently bought a bunch of these, and I did buy the same orion you have, so I'm glad to know they don't have any lead. I'm planning to get nemesis next. I currently have galaxy pegasus, meteo l-drago/destructor, phantom orion, fang leone, flash saggitario, earth eagle, and twisted tempo. So i'm glad to know these midfakes are safe

For a moment i was terrified because we used to play a LOTTTT of those as kids and the thought what weve been handling and doing whatever with those at such a young age with a developing brain that could be potentially hampered due to lead poisoning is hust soo anxiety inducing lol
I looked up the test that was used. It's just for testing lead paint, so these aren't really results you can trust. Thinking lead paint kits can test plastic and metal for lead seems to be a common misunderstanding.

I remember getting “midfakes” of Cho-Z beys and they were just Korea’s version of TT called “Sonoking” which is still trustworthy so don’t be afraid if you get Sonoking they’re literally the same

I have 3 midfakes. My actual l drago broke. Meteo L drago. I was and still am upset. My Midfake Phantom Orion doesn't even have B:D and my Midfake Pegasus fusion wheel broke.
I bought a storm Pegasus and twisted tempo from this company. Good to know they're safe to use
I used to play these Beyblades when I was in middle school.
I once got a fake big bang pegasus. the energy disk had 3 parts but the tip was a metal round tip. and it was quite thin that it actually broke when it impacted the floor

Midfakes are awesome, just find a proper source (stores with knockoff good have them) some stores have brittle metal tho, so make sure to check

For someone who can't get official hasbro/TT beys (cause they aren't available), mid fakes tend to be a blessing. Tho, even midfakes are only available online in here. The toy shops all have completely hollowed out fakes which can be broken by just a hand (literally).

I once got a strange knock off while i was in Australia. It was purple Wyvern, that could spin left and was incredibly hard to burst. Infact it didn't burst (in battle) till I got (I believe) a Wonder Valkyrie straight from Japan.

I got dead pheonix before, it was branded takara tomy but I realized the driver ball was not white but black and the driver looks just like hazard kerbeus' driver but recolored to black, so I got a Midfake.

Scratch off the first few layers and then test, they show more accurate results

I'm bought these for years, they tend to be from magicmode that WAS a less well known BUT real distributor of legit beys... Unlike hasbro once season 3 dropped.
Im still amazed that hasbro resorted to just selling cheaper hollowed out versions of the 4d beys just to save money.
