Hi Elaine that compost looked bad 😮. Bloody cold weather is doing my head in 😮, your plants look great, hopefully get some warmer weather soon. Carrots look good.👍👍👌❤️💪
I have my Nantes seeds sown in drills but nothing to see just yet. I'll take the advice and transplant my Spring Onions next to my carrots though. Good tip!
Your pepper plants are beautiful. Mine seem to be stunted I figure I got some bad seed starting soil because all the seeds I started in that soil doesn’t look good. And your strawberries plants looked so healthy
Thanks Karen. The peppers are coming on. I give mine tomato feed. They seem to like it. Maybe if you pot them into some other soil, they might pick up. Not a lot of strawberries up to now but it's still slightly early because of the weather. Elaine 🌱 🌱 🍓🍓🍓
Hi Tracey. It was lovely to see the bee at work on the apple tree we turned around. I think we moved it just at the right time. It's truly amazing how many steps and exercise you do on an allotment. I checked my carrot seed stash and they're 99 percent small carrots. Got to get that sorted. Oh, my aching body lol. Take care 🌱🌱💪👍😂🥕
Wow peppers flowering in the poly is amazing mine are all still in the house 😂 with socks on. It’s been insanely cold and rainy here, of course it is we are going camping 🤦🏼♀️. Looking great Elaine and so many seedlings to be out. Are you not growing gourds this year? I normally grow nantes but I am trying one called bolero 🥕 this year. Have a super weekend, see you Monday, Ali 🌧️🌧️🇨🇦
Hi Ali. No bottle gourds this year, but some ornamental gourds. Never grown them before but they look fun. It's always the same Ali, the moment you make a move to go on holiday, something happens like a cold or some other thing. Go nowhere, nothing happens lol. Sorry about your weather, but it will pick up (after your holiday lol). Take care, Elaine 🌱 🌧🌞🥕🥕🥕
I have had the same problem with compost. I had two bags of Levington multipurpose compost and after sieving it I ended up with half a bag of useable compost and one and a half of fibrous rubbish. I used the crap stuff as a mulch on my potatoes as it wasn’t any good for anything else. The price of compost is so high that you would expect it to be decent stuff but it’s just rubbish. I’ve still got two bags left so I might just add it to my compost pile to finish rotting down.
Hi Adam. I had two Levingtons, but wasn't that impressed either. That stuff from ASDA was on a whole new level. We're better making our own compost. I'm buying in two tonnes of compost for Monday delivery. I wonder what that will be like. Fingers crossed 🤞 Elaine 🌱🌱🌱🥔🥔🥔

So much variety at your plot, hopefully my new plot will look like that one day. 👍
Thanks Pete 😊👍 It's your painting and you paint it how you like. I look forward to seeing your progress. Elaine 🌱 🌱

Exactly. Very soon we'll all be too hot (and complaining). We're never happy are we 🤣.
Nope. We're not happy if we're not moaning about the weather lol😆🌞🌧❄️🌱
