Welcome to our Ruby Princess cruise vlog series. This is a 7 day western to Roatan Honduras, Costa Maya Mexico and Cozumel Mexico.

Yes, I was neck deep in two of my least favorite things: cold water and a cave! haha! I would have regretted not doing it so I just had to push though. Robert is my rock and is the reason why I go in willingly; he would never let anything happen to me. Hugs!

Thank you my friend. The turtles are so, so special. I always get emotional when we swim with them. That cenote was not my most favorite thing to do! haha! I had to do it, I would have regretted it. Rob took very good care of me. I do recommend it... it was really something to see. Hugs!!
Hi Favor and Rob! Favor I am so very proud of you for doing the excursion. That is awesome. We have only one planned so far in Costa Maya and that is swim with the dolphins. I have always wanted to do that and my sister and I are both going to do that. The other two ports, Roatan and Cozumel, we will play it by ear. Thank you so very much for posting these vlogs. Hi! The medallion app is shown in the next vlog but I will not be able to get up the full app video. On embarkation day they have a class on the app, deck 7 in the Explorers lounge... "Medallion Class Welcome Presentation" for us it was at 2:15. They have a second class on the first sea day. I recommend you go. It is very helpful and useful. Cozumel right in the port area is some great shopping and food options. I don't recommend the Senior Frog's etc, although it is good it is loud. We enjoy the restaurant attached to El Cinco Sole.. on the far left side of the port. Usually lots of iguana hang out on their patio and we enjoyed the food. Roatan you can get right off the ship and walk over to the beach... it's beautiful! Have so much fun! Hugs!

Last cruise we were on a ferry in rough seas and a lot of people was getting sick including my daughter and they gave them a cloth with menthol to smell and it worked for my daughter.

I am so proud of you for going into that cave - my friend is claustrophobic and she would not be able to do it. Plus she won't get her hair wet! LOL

Great video Favor! I’d much rather stay and swim with those sweet turtles than go into a cold dark cave though. Not that I also like caves, just the bigger ones on land with mostly plenty of space 😂. I probably could do without cold water swimming but I also think I could get used to it pretty easy. The scenery is fantastic and it all looked so fun though. Glad you went through it for us 😅. So glad it was a ship excursion too, right? My wife’s sister and her family took a similar excursion to yours on the mainland a few years ago and they were 1 hour and 10 minutes late but the ship waited for them of course. Ferry boat mechanical issues held them back way longer than usual. We were getting ready to go to down to MDR and wondering where they were still. So relieved to see them but I knew they were ok, due to the ship not pulling out of the dock at the scheduled time.
Hi my friend! I love those turtles.. the weather stirred up the water a bit so visibility was not the best but I still loved seeing them. Oh yes, only ship excursions for all day - especially if needing a ferry. This would be the third time we have been late on something like this. Glad your your SIL got back safely with a ship still there! Always nice to know it will wait when on a ship excursion. Hugs!
Hi Favor, you are braver than me I hate small spaces and caves so no way could I have done that trip. When we visit with my brother in law here in the UK there are a lot of caves but my husband has to do them on his own or with his brother I always wait up top, another great vlog though where on the app did you say you reported your toilet I have not found that on it , yet another interesting vlog. Cheers.
I am no fan of caves! I used to be so bad about closed spaces that Rob could not be standing in the entry of the coset while I was in it. It would send me in to panic! The "Crew Chat
feature will be shown in the vlog I just posted today.. the last sea day and disembarkation. It is a bit tricky to find but very useful when you do! Thank you my friend! Hugs!

I love my husband... he will not go if I stay behind and I never want him to miss anything because of my fear. I do have limits..haha but he is very respectful of them and would never push/force me to do anything I do not want to do. Hugs!

Thanks for another great adventure! Do you bring your passport off the ship? What about leaving valuables on the shuttle?
Thank you for watching! We do not bring our passports off the ship. I do, however, have a picture of the ID page in our phones. If for some reason you are unable to get back to the ship or have an emergency the crew/officers will retrieve your documents from your cabin and leave them with the port master or an officer. That said, if you want your passport stamped then bring it but otherwise we have only needed our passport once and the captain and Cruise Director announced it many, many times in the days before and the day of the port of call ( Alaska, we were on a train ride to Canada and back). Leaving valuables, IF the guide states you can leave your valuables on the bus then they should be safe. We always leave things on the bus if told it is fine but we always take our cash/ID/cameras... I never leave anything of real value behind unless I have to. Hugs!

Hi, it was a lot of fun. We could have gone for a brief swim at the beach after lunch but we only had a very short amount of time. The time you have depends on how fast/slow your group moves through the day. The group there before us had an hour but we only had about 20 minutes and chose to skip so we could be a little more dry for the ferry back to Cozumel. We loved this excursion. Hugs!

What month did you go? Im also concerned about the water temperature.
January. A cenote will always be cold, usually the water is around 65F. The beach water temps will be warmer towards the end of April through November.
