I have a Theo koch chair recently purchase. The guy sold it to me for 200 I just found out it’s worth 300 as is. My question is this it’s doesn’t lock. It doesn’t pump nor lock in the seated position but I just pulled it up there is no fluid. Do you think if I put hydraulic fluid in there will it lock
I have a Koken barber chair, it does not pump up, I’m wondering if you need hydraulic fluid before to see if it actually works? I’m almost finished with this chair. It was a mess when I started. I soaked all the chrome pieces in vinegar to break the rust from it then grind the light rust off with a power brush and coated it with chrome. So this is the last step for me as far as I know. Any suggestions?
Sounds like you're doing a good job, as far as the fluid slowly put in fluid and Pump It Up to see if it rises. You going to hear some gurgling but that's okay, just don't overfill it.
@@TheSalonChairGuys well there is gurgling with what little bit there is left, it’s pretty much empty. So I’m guessing that’s all it needs.. I’m a Jack of all trades but this is new for me.. I started from scratch. I think so far it’s coming out pretty darn good.. Thanks for the response..
@@TheSalonChairGuys I did notice the handle on the inside where the rod is, had been rotted when you twist it the chair does lock and releases pressure for it to drop and hold pressure but does not pump. I will look at the diagram and see if I can notice anything else. Thank you.
Cool video man , I'm working on my first chair and I'm glad to get a few pointers from u before I go ham on the chair
Thank you, good luck 🤞
Where can I get that ring?
Hello, what is the name of the hydraulic seat cushion?
Could you explain better?
Hello there, do you guys sell parts ? For Koken chairs?
I'm planning on buying an antique barber chair, .how do I remove the chair from the base, to make it easier to load.
Four bolts underneath the seat and disconnect the calf rest
Any advice on adjusting a chair like this that is very hard to spin/swivel.

@@TheSalonChairGuys well I got hydraulic fluid, it doesn’t pump but the breaks works. The arm pump feels like it has a lot of slack.
It's possible the seal is blocked. Download the guide on our site. It might help www.liinks.co/salonchairguys

My chair locks but moves when locked now. Did I push the break too hard? How can I fix that? Thank you!

My chair pumps all the way up but will not hold very long before it slowly goes down. What does that mean?
It sounds like your chair is losing pressure because of a busted hydraulic seal.
How can I buy your cleaner
Hi and thanks for your interest. Our cleaners are available for purchase at www.amazon.com/loveyourchair
My chair does not want to turn, what will it be? It will be that it is dirty, I think it got stuck in the brake.
The brake is probably too tight
@@TheSalonChairGuys I think that's exactly what it is. How would I loosen it? it would be very helpful please
