I saw the tour with Hank jr., Sawyer Brown and The Kentucky Headhunters in Winston Salam N.C. on March 10th, 1990. There's a great article about the concert online.
God bless you Otis!!! Ine of my best friends just now is recovering from being semi-paralyzed from Guillain-Barre and one of his first texts he said "im catching up on my Otis Gibbs videos😊" these videos are SUCH a blessing, i wish i could do Patreon but i am a struggling professional musician myself and times are tight sir, but you are loved and appreciated!!! 😊
I saw ZZ and Skynyrd back in 2011, just two days after my father's funeral. And we had tickets for a while, and before he died, Pop told me, boy, you better make sure you go see them. He wanted to make sure he wasn't keeping us from seeing them. But at that concert I noticed that ZZ were using Orange amps. And I don't care what amp Billy used, he always got that funky sound. I play guitar, but to me I have always been a big Peavey guy. I think I got into Peavey because I saw Skynyrd used them back in the day. And I used Dean Markley strings because Molly Hatchet used them. These days, I tried the string Gibbons uses and I am hooked on them. I love it because they have a great tone and they don't tear your fingers up. I Use the 7's. I am 65 and have been a big big fan of ZZ, Skynyrd, Allman Brothers (RIP Dickey!!), Hatchet, Blackfoot, Outlaws. All the rest of the southern boys. All of them have influenced me in so many ways with my playing. I am not saying I am as good as they are. But I can keep up a bit. Lol. All these southern rockers blow away anything that's out there today.
Once again great show Otis, I’d met Ricky and Doug but Greg is so cool. About Willie, met him after a show (RedBoiling Springs KY.) and also read his autobiography which was super inspiring, almost Biblical.
He played several numbers with "The Get Down", a group of great musicians associated with The Guitar Emporium in Louisville, KY. They opened for NRBQ, but Greg was absolutely great and i thoroughly enjoyed his playing. Sat. 4.27.24 Headliner's.

I remember Greg playing in a Louisville band called the Stray Cat Blues Band. This was prior to the Headhunters. Greg and Ricky Mason (RIP) made a dangerous guitar duo.
Otis- Who is the best person in INDIANA to look at an AMP? I have a old Fender Vibro King (Jeff Beck, Pete Townsend) and I'm picky who looks at it. I'm North of INDY. I trust your opinion. Jimmy

Greg is so modest. He can play as well as the any of players that he admires. I hope I come across like he does to people.

Billy makes us all proud to be from Texas! I have some kick ass Pearly gates pickups in my gold top epiphone that just rock
I respect Greg for his talent but mostly we have had personal conversations and his love for our Lord and Savior Jesus

Love Greg, man he’s so right about Jack Pearson, he is a notional treasure.

Tab Benoit talking about getting high and playing golf with Willie is hilarious. (on YT)
"Willie's immune, you're not."
