I've been playing games competitively for a very long time, but Rocket League is the first and only one where I can watch a montage from a pro-player, and confidently say that while I am very good at the game, every single shot on this montage was better than the best shot I've ever scored.
Like I've played with a lot of CS professionals over the years, and never felt like I was on a lower level. Hell, I smoked a lot of them. The only game of LoL I've ever played was with a professional, and while I was shit, I was able to pretty much figure out where the skill ceiling was, just because I played BLC so religiously when it first came out. Even in Quake 3, figuring out the timings is not that hard, and the rest is just twitch, movement and brains. But RL is on a different level from all of these. The level pros play at is so far above everyone else, it's like nothing I've ever experienced. The only other game that can probably match it would be Starcraft. Everything else is just mid-tier baby shit.
So a pretty good montage, I would say.
Real, rocket league is very much a game where if you don't put in the hours practicing every little mechanic/intricacy, youll be left behind so quickly in mechanics. Then not only do you have to have the mechanics, you have to have the awareness of when it's possible to pull off in a high level match, the boost management to do said mechanics and the positioning to even set it up. Oh also all at super sonic speed gameplay, yeah these pros are something else lol.

@@RL_PRO_TAGES yeah, I guess time will tell. Speaking of rise and Vatira though, I am really excited for Atow on this KC team. I do think that Liquid was consistently underrated and were absolutely worthy of top 4 at worlds, but this clearly is a much better opportunity for Atow.
