The fact that David and Jen had a crush on each other early in the making of Friends and the fact that they did not act on it (timing was not there). They where able to create a chemistry on set that's hard to fake. If they got together and it failed they would not had the same chemistry on set. Jen and Davids crushing got put into Rachel and Ross to create one of the best chemistry on TV. They also created the best will they wont they, you can easily see during the show they never stop loving each other and the spark never went out. Some tv couple seems forced for the plot so the characters don't have the chemistry.

@@mashhoodirfan4997 The writers have told us they did not plan to have Monica and Chandler to be a couple, but the way the response from the hook up in London gave them the direction. Yes I agree its forced and its a good example to use and that also how many on screen couples are made. Its very uncommon to get the Ross and Rachel couple, its helps the show being timeless.

They always talk about the first Ross & Rachel kiss being in the coffee shop but they always forget when Rachel kissed Ross in the laundromat.
That was more of a friendly kiss from Rachel, considering Ross didn’t really kiss her back and he was just shocked. The coffee shop kiss was the first romantic and reciprocated kiss!

I genuinely feel like us (the younger generation) felt this reunion as the closure we never experienced as we were '' too late to the party''. That was an amazing thing did, I felt so much happiness from seeing them together again and hearing some behind the scenes moments as well as the fact that Jennifer and David had real crushes on eachother. Rachel and Ross are one of my favorite on screen couples ever.

What’s beautiful is that David had liked Jen for who she was & it was before all the fame. It’s genuine and that’s hard to find and he was always so sweet & loving to her you can just see it. A lot of time has passed, I guess they are in different places in life.. Besides, David said, he is the only one living in New York, while Jen is in LA.. I think it is just too hard to start things now.. I find it sad, though... Jennifer and David could have still been together, had they started dating back then. But now they all kind of single and sad, you can tell
Its sometimes more complicated than that. I mean firstly jen lives in LA and David NYC, David can't move to LA cause his daughter lives in NY and I really don't think they'd want to risk their friendship incase it went wrong so
Jens actually not single though. She has been with a non Hollywood dude for like a year, she's just insanely private. & she is also still very chill with Brad Pitt. So....
I don't think it was just hard crushing I think they genuinely had feelings for each other. You can see even in the Reunion they are connected and keep laughing at each other's jokes all the time. And at one point when Courtney said, maybe it's good they didn't explore it bcos what if it didn't workout, Jen and David kept quiet. Maybe after all these years there's some genuine regret they didn't explore things further.

Jen accidentally slipped up once in the 90's when a guy asked her what if her and David got together in rl like the characters, she said it already happened but suddenly backtracked and brushed it off as a joke but if you analyse her body language you can tell it wasn't a joke. I think they did start to date but realised it shouldnt go too far just incase, something went wrong . This also fits in with both of them saying they had a history together, which a crush wouldn't have been history at all, history normally means long term so

Also, in 2016 david said "that was broken" when asked abt the contract, when he said that Jen snapped her head towards him and gave him a look 😂

I knew it! I was OBVIOUS. Every time David delivers his line, Jennifer is always holding her laugh. Among the 3 men, it was David who clearly made her laugh all the time. And i think Jennifer liked David because of that.
She also said their scenes were just naturally dreamy together and that he reminded her of her high-school sweetheart. She said she was attracted to him instantly in the 90's
I mean the way they would kiss each other, you could absolutely feel the passion. That chemistry was a huge part of why R&R were so popular despite both characters obvious flaws. I believe it.

I agree for years I could see that was actually beyond acting that part aswell as the make out session in the museum and also that deleted scene in final episode where they're rushing into the bedroom, pulling at eachothers clothes. I feel like true friends fans already knew this and were just waiting for the day David and Jen would confirm it - If they would ever confirm it and look where we are now :) They kind of hinted at it in the earlier interviews. They would always say they had a lot of “history” and would never elaborate on it.

Firstly it's not all about looks, second of all Brad was dull af, thirdly his sense of humour was always shite and last up he was a known cheater even before the Jen thing. So to summarise, yes he had the looks but the other stuff made him really unattractive overall. Meanwhile David was sensitive, caring, loyal, naturally funny and was very talented. Not as much competition as people think there. I would've picked schwimmer anytime over that cheat
