The only reason the admiral tried to track the Rajang was so he could get the horn first
So, we learned some important things: One, it's now indisputably canon that rajangs hunt kirins for their horns. Two, the Handler instinctive reaction to danger is "look at the headlights until the car hits you". Three, the Admiral is stupidly strong and has Guard Up on his gear

I love how kirin purposely avoided the hunter and the handler, this proves that kirin is not naturally hostile toward anything. Because you are not about to tell me that split line of lightning was plot armor.
@@dragonairdragon6173 Vaal Hazak (and its variant), Teostra, Kushala Daora, Zorah Magdaros, and Kulve Taroth are all naturally non-aggressive too. They only attack in retaliation or when threatened.

Kirins being hunted by Rajangs has got to be a very terrifying thing.
You are a Thunder unicorn that's being hunted by a horned ape the same size as you except it has big meaty arms, resistant/immune to Thunder damage and it has opposable thumbs

Rajang actually tend to be larger than Kirin.
Kirin size ranges from roughly 4m to 10m.
Rajang range from 7-16m.
So, he finally got the Kirin that escaped.

@Saijou Candari it could have also exploded. I think there was something about elder dragons losing control over their elements once their horns are broken, so that might have probably happened.
Kirin known can "teleport" by riding the Lightning... That's why Kirin is called "The White Phantom"
But kirin doesn't just explodes when we break its horn though

Finally an actual scene of rajang hunting a kirin for its horns. Knowing that lore feels interesting and now we get this. It doesn't matter if it's an elder dragon. Truly dope
You should also check out the Kirin vs Rajang cutscene from MH Online. It's not as epic as this one, but still entertaining.

@@MrDarkknight914 you might be confusing MH Online with MH Frontier. Frontier is the one where everything is SUPER exaggerated. MH Online seems relatively tame, and that Kirin vs Rajang cutscene in Online is basically a cool chase scene.

Honestly, The Kirin did pretty well against the Rajang overall. Sure the Kirin lost, but Rajangs are nearly immune to thunder and the last attack the Kirin threw seemed to hurt the Rajang a good bit.

Rajang is immune to thunder. Rajang is, in fact, not immune to large puncture wounds to the chest. There isn't much that is immune to that.

Rajang is honestly one of the few capturable monsters I do not feel guilty about killing.
This might be the most badass and brutal cutscene in the game atm.
I refused to believe the Rajang hunting Kirin thing until this cutscene, it just didn’t make any sense to me until now.

The only reason why the Admiral didn’t throw the rock at Rajang was the possibility of getting exposed for the true beast that he was.

It was the Lava Zone of the Guiding Lands. Rajang are immune to fire but Kirin are the exact opposite, so I believe the Rajang scared the Kirin into the Lava Zone to weaken it with the Heat.

@@maxaxe1941 they don't. Apex predators don't have a natural predators. Only a natural enemy or a territorial rival. When two lions or alpha wolves enter the same space or hunting ground one of two things will happen. They either intimidate one another into surrendering and walking away or they fight it out until one of them dies or runs away with injuries.
If an elder dragon encounters either another elder dragon or a their equal they will fight until one is left standing.
Could you imagine a rajang ridding a Kirin man that would be deadly

This is actually what Fatalis do, they melt the armor of fallen hunters and improve the hardness of their scales. And trust me, MANY Hunters have fallen to the devastating Dragon, especially against the white one.

My headcannon is that the admiral was tired after going bare handed vs a rajang and defeating it, then hears a thunder, knowing there was another rajang in the area, runs to it, just to find out the handler about to die and saves her, his age catch up to him and got exhausted, leaving the 2nd rajang to the main hunter.

Either it teleported which is very unlikely due to the broken horn, or it evaporated. Elder dragons are said to lose control of their elements once their horns are broken.
@傷齒龍147 Troodon147 in the old games they also didn't lose control ingame. Would be a pretty broken mechanic. That's one of those things that are only canon in the lore, like Fatalis.
