In most of them it's called being "in the zone" especially basketball, while in all the driving ones it's called being "in the groove". It's a state where your body and mind are focused completely on the task at hand and lose their sense of time and "consciousness". During its occurence, you essentially play or drive or whatever at the highest level you can possibly do. It happens on videogames too. You have probably experienced it as well, but because you're so uninformed, you simply didn't know up until today.....

Onboards are the best! Although I prefer when the camera is mounted behind the driver so you can see what they're doing.
