I started watching your videos when you first moved to Korea because I wanted to move to Korea and teach English but didn't have my degree. I decided to go back to school and now I am moving to Korea this fall to teach English! I spent two months there last year and have thought about going back every single day since I have been home! also I went to Rolling Korea (they're based in Seoul but offer online classes) and I can't recommend them enough! They are all so lovely and the teachers are amazing and I can't say enough good things!
@@adriennehilll I remember that!!! You were shuffling around flashcards and showing classrooms. It was really cute, but I love how Korea became home for you.
I LOVE the content you’ve put out in the past with the Korean government! Can’t wait to see more! Also re Chleo’s cataracts: she’s still pretty young for a min pin. As long as the vet clears her for anesthesia I think it’s totally worth it because she has so many more years left.
I don't think it hurts to get a second opinion if you think Cleo has more eyesight than the vet said, but I would keep in mind that dogs are really good at hiding issues. We had a blind dog when I was a kid (her eyes actually had to be removed) and sometimes you wouldn't be able to even tell unless you already knew she was blind. She navigated through the house and ran around the backyard like nothing had changed, they're especially good at memorizing the layout of spaces they live in.
@@adriennehilllOf course! 😊 They are especially smart when they're motivated, I once came home from school and found her sitting on our bar height dining table like she was waiting for me after devouring an entire bag of mini powdered donuts (she even licked the bag clean!) 😂 She was a pug so no idea how she got up there while being short on top of blind, she couldn't get back down on her own! She also had no problems popping open cabinets to dig out toilet paper rolls or find our favorite stuffed animals to sneak off with lmao. It's been almost ten years since she passed but that dog owned my whole heart 🥲
My dog is 15, now pretty deaf, and sees very little. He doesn't really care lol so I've decided to leave it at that until he passes. He's happy, that's what matters. For night walks I use a torch, and it helps him a lot!

Hi Arrienne, I Started watching you when you were a Teacher , Always loved Your Channel, you should be Super Proud of Yourself seeing how Far you have Come, Thanking You for Sharing Your Life 🥰🥰🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
for a hot minute there i thought that i have clicked on one of your old videos and was pretty confused; but I definitely do remember one of your very first videos where you didn’t even have a cup in your kitchen cabinets and made me laugh; love you ❤ makes me glad that i never stopped watching you, you have come a long way and i hope cleo gets better soon
Enjoying your video. Experiencing what you are with the vision issues. I however chose not to have him undergo surgery. He is 16yrs old and can still see shadows and movement. I just make sure objects aren't moved around to confuse him. In your case, I know you'll choose what's best for Chloe. Best of luck in all you do!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about Cleo, I hope she won't need surgery and the eye drops will help. If not, I hope there will be a great optometrist that can do the surgery. 💜
I had double cataract surgery on my 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier and within one year her retinas detached. It was heartbreaking and very costly, but she lived a beautiful long life until 15 without vision.
❤️🩹 reading this made my heart drop. I’m so sorry the surgery didn’t give you the results your baby deserved. I’m so glad she could live such a long and lively life though. 15 is amazing! Thanks for sharing your experience, it really helps me
You look nice in pink! Also that royal blue robe looked great. Please do a personal color analysis! I know those are popular in korea right now and many people are shocked with their results. It would be cool to watch your results!
Yes! They reopened a few months later and even asked me to come back to work🥲😅 but by that time I had checked out of teaching and was happy with the new direction things were going, so I didn’t go back
Hi there I think the position of the bed will be ok next to the plugs so that when you have night lamp or stand. The floating shelf will look great above the plant at the corner between windows. The bed same position but the head next to the plugs. The plant and the lamp don't gel at all at the same space
This was such an interesting watch though I love all your content. I got completely off of YT for a few years, but reopened an account during the Covid lockdown. You came up in my feed, I think because you had just purchased your pink(?) couch or were moving things around in your two-story apartment. I love interiors. Anyway, I liked you and your content, so I subscribed. After a while, I went back and watched some of your earlier videos. You've seen some big changes in your life in the last four or five years. It has been wonderful to watch your journey. God bless.
Love the moving/home deco content! I know you've been trying the non spending on useless things (and doing great at it) but I'm visiting in the fall and would love reccomendations for window shopping or clothing stores in busan and other cities close to it! If you haven't done a things to do in busan, I'd LOVE to see it to help me plan! Anyway, cheers to fresh apartment feels 🎉
Thanks for another nice video! Really loving your stress-free everyday videos😻 I had a dog with same condition in similar age. I chose NOT to do the surgery. She lived to 16 y old and did not have any problems. I am happy I chose that way because it is natural way of life and I was too afraid of all the toxins from anesthesia and other medication, these are really really strong and especially in this age I still feel there could be too many risks even if the vet says otherwise. I also had completely blind cat who lived to 18 y old and also did not have any problems. Animals are just so amazing, their other senses are so good and I really think living as natural and healthy as possible in their older days is what gives their life real quality and long years to come 💖 Good luck ❣
Ahhh 16!!!🥹 what a long and beautiful life both of your pets got to have. I agree there are definitely sooo many risks… thanks so much for sharing your experience. Your pets were so lucky to have you❤️

Dang! Time flies! Started watching right when you moved to Korea since I had just started learning Korean...don't ask about my progress though...even after a year in college when i went back to school, it still sucks! But I graduate this year so I'll be able to dedicate more time to it😅
Since I was 14 I've loved korean culture. I learned to speak basic korean, it was the first cuisine I ever learned to cook and I had dreamed of living there, I looked into teaching and everything. I'm 30 now and recently I feel the fire burning again. I've been watching so many vloggers who are foreigners living in korea and it's really inspiring me. I look back and wish so badly that I made it happen then and I wonder if at my age I still can or if it's too late. I did move from Canada to Denver and have a somewhat settled life here with my bf, so I feel like it'd also be tricky to just pick everything up and move to asia now. But it really does feel like something that I might just need to do for myself, even just for a bit, maybe a year or two. I guess the biggest thing is, what job I would do.. my day job is in vfx as a compositor but I also dj/produce music and make content. I'm curious about this entertainers visa, I'm definitely going to look into it. The whole thing just seems so daunting but I want to do it so badly.
You can totally still do it now. If you feel the fire burning again.. I say do it! YOLO! Just plan to go for a year and who knows maybe you’ll wanna stay longer. It’s def daunting because of the unknown but you’ll seriously have the time of your life
I always assumed you would be on a f-2-7 visa, intersting to learn that it is not the case. Regarding the school, I attended the language school at PKNU for lvl 1 and 2 at pknu here in Busan and was very pleased with the progress I made there during the time. I am planning to go back there but am currently lacking the time with my full time job. Might switch to part time for a while next year so I can continue with it.
Taking the cataracts out will reduce the risk of glaucoma in dogs. My golden retriever had to have double cataract removal because he developed full blown cataracts before the age of two. The surgery for my dog was successful with removing the cataracts. But, for my dog, unfortunately his retinas detached in both eyes about 6 months after his surgery so he can’t see anymore. He’s 5 now but he’s happy and loving life and he’s smart about getting around things. And I’m not saying any of this to scare you, every dog is different! My dog was just one of the ones to have his retinas detach. No matter what route you take, you’re doing the best for her ❤
Yes.. I am so so worried about the glaucoma situation 😔 I am so sorry your pup developed cataracts so early. Even though he cannot see now he is soooo so lucky to have such a caring owner like you!! Thank you SOO much for sharing, it helps me a ton
I’m sorry to hear about Cleo’s eyes!! I did see them in the last video and was wondering if you had them checked out! I hope you manage to reach an outcome you are comfortable with after your research 💛 Loving the content! Also I was wondering since 🇰🇷 is a little bit conservative/traditional at times, do you get any raised eyebrows when you say you live with your boyfriend? Or is it becoming more of the norm? Xx
Hi, Adrienne! I love watching your videos to get a glimpse into what life can be like for an expat in Korea! I'm moving to Songdo-gu in June to begin teaching and am on the hunt for a good gym, yoga, or pilates studio to join. Any tips for where to look or how to join as an expat would be amazing! Also where to shop for clothes. Love your aesthetic! Thank you again for all the great content!
Omg I LOVE SONGDO❤️❤️❤️ that’s so exciting!!! If you type in #송도필라테스 on IG you will find lots of Pilates studios. Or search #송도짐 for gyms. Most of them are independently owned and from my experience they’re happy to have foreigners. If a place u visit doesn’t feel good or right- try somewhere new. Avoid buying their 10-20 class packages until you know Iike the place (most places do allow drop ins!) For clothes I love H&M for basics.. that’s pretty much the only place I shop at unless it’s ordering something random from an online shop
Ahhh I remember the text, that whole time was crazy! I started watching when you moved into the apartment with the loft, which was legit forever ago now
Hello A. :) Hope you are doing well. Thank you for another video :) I cought up with some previous videos so I feel like I'm on a track hihihi. Greetings
1st time on ur channel and I see you made ur dogs food but right b4 that Cleo was on the bed in mirror and I was thinking how healthy and shiny he was .. of course ur cooking his food! ❤ FYI put hexane free organic castor oil drops in his eyes they will help him!
I had cataract surgery done on my Mini Schnauzer- I honestly think it saved her life. She was 10 and literally went totally blind overnight. When she was blind she was very depressed and didn’t even want to go out. She also had a heart murmur and a vet had told me that any surgery was out of the question. However the specialist who done the surgery felt she would be grand. She wasn’t an ideal candidate for surgery however I decided to go for it. It took a few days but her eyesight was restored and honestly it gave her a new lease of life. She was able to partake in her hobbies of barking at cats etc! I only got one eye done as the other one as the other one was not suitable. I honestly am not rich but it was the best money I spent. She is no longer with us but she had 3 years of reasonable health after the operation. Xo
Cleo has a heart murmer too which is something I’ve never shared publicly on here. Thank you SOOO much for taking the time to explain your experienced this is genuinely so so helpful to me. Your baby is so lucky that her momma loved her so much!!! Everyone keeps telling me it’s the best money they’ve spent. Thanks again for sharing 💛
I just found your channel. I would love to hear you talk about your visa and government work. I am open to that. I have been looking for an alternative to my current sitch.

Regarding the school, I attended the language school at PKNU for lvl 1 and 2 at pknu here in Busan and was very pleased with the progress I made there during the time.
I am planning to go back there but am currently lacking the time with my full time job. Might switch to part time for a while next year so I can continue with it.
Do you see yourself living in Korea for a while? Or do you have plans to move back to the USA? Love your videos ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes definitely wanna stay in Korea for a long time 💛
Taking the cataracts out will reduce the risk of glaucoma in dogs.
I hope you manage to reach an outcome you are comfortable with after your research 💛
Loving the content!
I started watching when you moved into the apartment with the loft, which was legit forever ago now
Ahhh it’s been such a long time! Thanks so much for sticking around
Hello A. :) Hope you are doing well. Thank you for another video :) I cought up with some previous videos so I feel like I'm on a track hihihi. Greetings

Omg thank you!!!! Gonna look into those!
I remember the announcement when you got fired!!! That was so wild!! (But was obsessed with your apartment then lol)
I totally understand you worrying about anesthesia in older dogs
i've been around since you were in 9th grade!!
omg thank you 💛
I had cataract surgery done on my Mini Schnauzer- I honestly think it saved her life.
@@adriennehilll I’m so glad it’s been helpful to you. Xo
I just found your channel. I would love to hear you talk about your visa and government work. I am open to that. I have been looking for an alternative to my current sitch.

I have been working as an English teacher for 2 years. I have been thinking of starting a TH-cam channel and maybe become a freelancer. However, I'm not sure when would be the best time to make the change in visas.

Was it hard changing your visa when you went from teaching to freelance?
Hey, Adrienne! Love your new apartment! Yes, I've been a subby since your teaching days. It's great how one door closed for you and so many more were opened.
Thank you so much 🥹 yes!!! The life motto i live by 💗
My two big boy kitties both have blond spots due to age. They are still doing alright but it's really hard to see sometimes because it makes me sad.
I would appreciate your advice. I'm going to Jeju in the summer and I want to rent a car. Do you recommend that I reserve one now? If so, what company should I use? Please help 💕
OMG SO EXCITING! Yes you should try to book now as summer in Jeju is a hot spot! Im sorry I don’t remmeber the company we used last time
@@adriennehilll I am super excited! Thank you 😊 I'm also going to Busan for 2 days.
I believe I started watching just when you got fired. Or right after.
i was with a korean agency too but it didnt go to well and they bullied me a lot 🥺 but im hoping to find another agency to live in korea and be a freelancer. do you have any tips?
I’m so sorry about that! I will say the agency I’m with now isn’t my first one. Most people don’t have much luck with their first.
Wow I can't believe they just texted you omg!
😅😅 me either
yes I was around then! around before then but 😜
SOOO LONG💛💛
Yay happy Sunday and it a lovely reset Sunday
My dog passed away due to infections around his eyes due to cataracts. The surgery in the IS would’ve cost me $20k per eye.
I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️🩹😓
what shampoos and conditioner do you use? ur hair looks soooo good 😮😭
the one i use is a korean brand called himalaya herb - nard argon oil! But before that i used the CHI brand argon oil shampoo and conditioner from TJMaxx :) Honestly i think any shampoo/conditioner with argon oil is great
