Nice video. I just bought a 2019 Kindle Basic from Unclaimed Baggage for $40. It works great. I use an iPad at home for reading, but I bought the Kindle so I could read at work and while traveling. Honestly, I didn’t feel a need to get any of the other fancy models for what I’m using it for.
Very honest and exact review for potential buyers. I love your style. Yes, I too was considering paperwhite earlier but my choice and viewpoints are similar to yours. So, I will not upgrade to any costly versions of Kindle anytime soon
The main difference between paperwhite and basic is the screen size, paperwhite is 6.8" and basic is 6". Might not sound like a lot but the difference is crazy :D.
Enjoyed your video! I have an older gen paperwhite and really enjoy it. There used to be a lot of difference in quality between basic and paperwhite but thats no longer the case. When I upgrade I'll probably go with the basic.
Pair the Kindle to a bluetooth audio device then choose Voiceview Screen Reader on in the accessibility tab. It then starts reading the book with an AI voice.
Doesn’t seem very logical considering that warm light is often used at night lying in bed. You can’t really wear glasses when lying in bed, unless you lay on your back or sit upright. it just seems quite inconvenient. Better off switching it to darkmodeb
i used to read all the time when i was little. then i somehow stopped reading for 15 years. then i bought an ereader (tolino page 2, it’s a german thing) about 3 years ago and i read so many books again ❤ i rarely buy ebooks, i get them from our library, the membership is per year what kindle unlimited is per month 😂 and for academic reading or nonfiction i want to really annotate a lot and really work through it use my ipad. a small reader can’t really handle that task but it’s not meant to be that.

Just received my new kindle 2024 in matcha color. I wanna start reading again so I’m excited. When I was younger I was a bookworm

You made a very informed decision. Glad you live the Basic.

It definitely is a big difference. My sister has the paperwhite, so I know I made the right choice.
it’s the difference between barely pocketable and totally not pocketable.
This was the most helpful review I’ve watched!! Thank you so much!
I'm Glad! Thank you for watching ❤
I have found so many books on Kindle that I have enjoyed that I wouldn’t have heard of otherwise.
Very useful video. I'll go for the kindle basic. Thank you so much for your insights. ❤😊
You are the most reasonable person i have ever watched 😊
Thanks!
Great video!! I was hoping to see how you decorated your kindle with the accessories you purchased! I like the clear case and pop socket idea! 😊
@@fenesss thank you 😊

Thank you for watching! & the basic is definitely the best option in my opinion ❤️
I love using the text-to-speech feature! It helps me read so much faster.
Ooouuu!!! How do you do that? 👀

I think this will be the best option for a first time kindle. I wasn’t sure which one to get
Tbh if you need warm light just get some $10 blue light glasses and it does the same thing
I love this comment

I just brought another kindle basic this time black. My old one I had for two years and in March it got wet 😅
Yeah, it's like a real book because you can't get it wet at all 😂 but I'm glad you could get another one!
Thanks for sharing. I agree with your review. I love my kindle basic I had mine for about two years with the ads lol. 💕📖📚

I'm so jealous, i want one so bad haha
As someone who wants to read books but doesn't like holding books this was an informative video. Thanks!
Have you been reading after getting it?
Thank you & Yes I have read more books in the past month than I have the past year. It fits my reading style alot better then regular paperback books.
That's great to hear! Thanks!
