  • In this final of 3 videos showcasing our RV trip to Bandon, Oregon in the spring of 2016, we spend a day at the famous Bandon Beach.
    I'll show you the amazing views from the Face Rock wayside and the Coquille wayside beach access points. Also, from down on the beach itself. The video finishes up with some footage of our sunset photography shoot and a slideshow of my photos taken that day.
    If you have missed the first two videos on the Bullards Beach State Park and Old Town Bandon check out the playlist.

    We visited this beach several years ago on our first cross country RV trip. I loved this area, so beautiful. We ate dinner at a wonderful nearby sea food restaurant. Afterwards we came down to this beach to watch the sunset. We got some great pictures. I would love to go back.

    Been to beautiful Bandon many, many times. I come down all the way from Portland because I think Bandon is the nicest destination on the entire Oregon coast, but many other spots are right behind it.

      Gorse is very oily and spreads fire quickly. It caused much of the destruction of Bandon in 1936,

      I find June and September are good months, decent weather but less people. :) I've even had some good weather in November and April. Summer can actually be cooler due to marine fog blocking the sun. Cheers, Ray

    You're making me miss the PNW really bad right now! lol. The Oregon coast is my favorite - so beautiful. If you aren't already past it, you should stop at Ecola State Park. It is immediately north of Cannon Beach. The drive into Ecola, to the beach, is breathtakingly beautiful. I have never gone back that I didn't see elk lounging within sight of the road. (the trick is to drive slowly and look carefully and closely) I suggest going past Ecola Beach, continuing further back to Indian Beach. One of my favorite beaches on the Oregon Coast. Very small but lots of character and particularly fascinating during low tide in the early AM hours. Lots of photo ops especially at those lowest tides. Going to be a really low tide on 05/06 around 6AM but I'm sure you will be gone by then. I highly recommend it for your next trip. The sea life and rocks that are exposed during the super low tide are not usually visible and are thoroughly fascinating. www.surf-forecast.com/breaks/Indian-Beach/tides/latest

      +Xsyntrik Nomad Cool! Love tide pools. We have been to Ecola Beach a few times when visiting Cannon Beach but haven't been to Indian Beach. We are already back on Vancouver Island but will check it out in the fall.

    • @XsyntrikNomad
      @XsyntrikNomad 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Everyone usually makes it to Ecola beach and stops there. Though Indian Beach is hardly secret, it seems to be forgotten somehow. While I don't particularly want everyone heading there and ruining it, I definitely want others to be able to appreciate it like I do. There is a fairly easy trail that takes you to a cool bluff that is perfect for whale watching during migration season too.
