The lyrics and music to this song were written by Georg Elgåen - who was Norwegian - I know because he was my father's french teacher in High School and the class learnt to sing this in french because Elgåen had translated it for his class. =)

@Rogstad Brockstedt is a "upperclass" name in Norway. Her birth name is Berger, wich is one of the most common names in Norway. It's says and I quote: "Nora Brockstedt is a successful Norwegian singer". She is quite famous in Norway, and have sung some of our most beloved christmas carols. She was in the Eurovision Songcontest many times with "Tango for to" and "Sommer i Palma."

Found this when watching olsen banden jr with my children 😊 there they told this "voi voi" searched and found this 😉 voi is finnish for butter and Voi voi means oh oh. Lol 😂 but in this case it means "hello hello".

And one other thing: This was Norway's conrtibute to the Eurovision Song Contest in the year 1960. No more than 15 yearas after the war ended; Germans were still looked down on in Norway, and we wouldn't have anything to do with the german people or the language or the country at all. If this song had been originally german, I first of all think it would have been a lot more fuss about it competing in MGP. I don't believe it would be accepted very well in the competition, and let alone win it..!

Notice the video says 'Norway 1960' ... was this comment written just for starting an argument? Also, if you had anything to do with either language... you'd know that German is a fairly harsh language... while Norwegian is not (though it has similar roots). The video is also presented as her being the chosen Norwegian artist... and at that time all singers had to use their original language... was only later that English was allowed.

Wtf, just look at her name; " Nora Brockstedt" The most typical German name you are all likely to see. And as mentioned a hundred time now, I have read about her and her song Voi voi. The million pound question is really; why did I read that she (and her song) were on German?
