As someone who first saw this series about 20 years ago I was quite disturbed that I was a bit of a grouch like Victor and only in my 40s. Now that I am Victor's age in this series I would like to think that I am not quite as prickly anymore.
Brilliant comedy classic never be another Victor great cast brilliant writing no writers now to much x factor and Britain got talent thats all this is entertainment class
Can't believe I've only just noticed that the beer is called "Long Life". Quite ironic considering the show storyline but the opposite nearly happens here. 🤣
If I was the one who wrote this scene, I would have added a few more words in it and changed some of them, too... And here's how it would be according to me: "Victor, what are you doing? Take that off your head!" "I'm boiling, Margaret." "I have just put superglue on that glass." "What?!" "I've just stuck the bottom back in, where it had come out. Oh, my God!" "Aaaaaaah! No! Don't! Aaah!" "It's stuck-on solid!" "Don't pull at it, or you'll tear the skin away!" "Well, you know how quickly that stuff sets!" "Ohhh! Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! I just wished for this to happen one day! I asked for it! I prayed for this moment, this joyous moment when I've got a glassful of Inc. Coupe Bitter welded to my forehead for all eternity!" "Don't get up, or it'll spill everywhere!" "Well, I can't lie like this here forever, can I?! Like a bedridden Dalek!" "I'll get April to phone for an ambulance, to take you down to the hospital - they'll get it off in no time at all!" "Ohhhh! Oo-ee...! Ahh! And here's the next scene after that, just as normal: "Did you manage alright in the toilet?" "Yes. Thank you." "With one hand?" "Yes. Thank you!" "I suppose you can see their point. It's not an actual emergency, as such. And if we'd gone off and got stuck in the rush hour, you'd only have felt worse. Vince says he'll drive you down to casualty first thing. You'll feel better after a night's sleep." "I expect so, yes."
Awwwe, the way she strokes Victor's face at the end was so sweet, it was actually mildly heart breaking when he turned away from her! 😢💔
"Bedridden Dalek" possibly my favorite line from this show.
Clever, witty perspective there on that, Mr Meldrew!
Honestly my face hurt from laughing at that
mine is the one where that old lady is in his bed..margaret asks who is she..victor says i thought it was you haha amazing insult
I now want to see a bedridden dalek

One Foot In The Grave by far the best comedy series ever. The casting was perfect as was the acting.
I agree. The greatest British comedy ever.

And the situations were ALWAYS so outrageous.
@@hughes9501 correct
Perhaps the writing had something to do with it.
The people who disliked this have accidentally stuck glasses to their face before and don't appreciate others laughing about it.
Well said
😂😂😂😂
Idiot
RIP. Frank Ifield. You taught me how to yodel.
Reminds me of Matilda when Mr. Wormwood gets his hat glued to his head 😂
That beer looked nice, Mister Meldew
I'd be most upset about having to pour the beer away! :)
I'd have tipped it into a larger glass.
@@wisteela or use a long straw / tube to drink it off your head
I don’t BELIEVE it!!!
Haven't there been people who've said that long before Victor Meldrew?
I've prayed for this moment. 😂
Im a massive fools & horses fan but OFITG is sooooo much better, Victor is my hero

Victor has turned himself into a Dalek
Such a 'dad' shirt Victor is wearing in this scene.
You would wait 2 months now to have that removed lol
Respect he never spilt a drop either
Did he actually glue the glass to his forehead? I DON'T BELIEVE IT!
Bloody brilliant

I dont believe it lol 🤣🤣🤣
Very funny
That Episode Starred With “Ol Blakey” From On The Buses, Ol “Smiler” From Last Of The Summer Wine, The Late Stephen Lewis.
And T-Bag as his wife
Which episode was it plz?
Thumbs down to Victor? How very dare they 😂😂😂
Golem stuff thank you for this wonderful post ✌🏻🌹
Always got beer on his mind, bed ridden darlick
Hilarious! To anyone who has had a mishap with superglue, FYI, fingernail polish remover (acetone) will remove superglue.
I just about wet myself hahahahaha!!!!!!
Absolutely wonderful 💝💗❤️ xx
Poor victor
He should’ve said like a bedridden unicorn 🦄😂
Dalek is funnier
Lol
brilliant absolutely just made my dad glass of ind coope bitter
Margaret does it on purpose
Why did she put glue at the bottom of the glass in the first place? 🤨
Because earlier in the episode the glass falls over and the bottom part breaks hence why she glued it
@@jacklivingston8210 To just throw the glass away wouldn't be funny...
