This Technique Talk will explore the science behind IHC technology and highlight how it has developed over time. Steven Hrycaj will talk about protocol development, optimization, and troubleshooting, and how sample properties impact protocol decisions. Finally, he will discuss how automation technology has changed IHC, comparing and contrasting automated and manual in situ hybridization protocols and applications.

Great talk! I can use clarification as to which steps to take towards the embedded block for under or over fixation of the tissue? Is there a protocol for these two scenarios?

Hi Sir. Thanks for the informative presentation. I got a question, please. How do antibodies enter the cells? I need an exact answer.
Is it because of:
1- mechanical destruction of the cells during microtomy?
2- Using ethanol and xylene? during the tissue preparartion?
