It's worth noting that these keyboards are primarily made for MMO players. The ease of access, multiple profiles, and macro keys are there for a reason. While it's nice for people who play a lot of counter strike or whatever the flavor of the month is in certain respects. It's far more important to us high level MMO players who often have upwards of 30-40 key binds and macro's. Not to mention that we use multiple profiles per character in whatever game that we are playing. These things are a god send. Allowing us the ability to have a dedicated keyboard for those things as well as being able to keep our regular keyboard free and clear of certain settings and hurdles that come with assigning said settings. Alleviating the main keyboard of that clutter allows us to make calls as well chat in game during high pressure situations A lot easier. I just figured I would point that out. MMO's aren't that popular anymore, but there was a time that PC gaming was synonymous with them. And these types of keyboards were created to cater toward that specific demographic.
So a Quick follow up I did a little more homework. A lot of the one handeds were released as pure Marco Keyboards and aimed at MMO players as well as people who do tasks such as video editing, recently a few companies have been making ones like the Redragon IDA which are not Marco Keyboards but rather just half size Keyboards aimed at giving you more mouse space or for bundling together with a laptop for gaming on the go.
@@HappysTech True, but it isn't an apple's and orange's comparison by any means. They function identically at the end of the day. Obviously, without the premium features of an orbweaver or logitech G13. It's hard to find a cheap board with cherry mx that has its keys layed out vertically for instance. I'm really just glad that you can pick these up at all for under $50, lol.
@@HappysTech True, but for $40 you can't beat it. I'll script something so that people can use it as a secondary and seperate board all together, and post it here when mine arrives.
Just got this keypad and used it last night for pubg.... Although I still have to get use to it I can say that I really like it so far. The space key takes a little bit to get use to but by placing it like that it freed up some room and they added some keys under C V B, I use to those for quick acces to nade and smoke, V and B are now larger minimap and Pull up map. G has become flashbang and now I dont have to usethe G inventory to pull up throwables. Still probably have to fine tune all the keys but quite happy of the functionality
The included cable is Roughly 1.2m the packaging did not specify exactly but you can use any standard USB-C cable if you want to have a shorter or longer cable. I ran mine with a USB-C Cable which came with a smartphone without an issue when I was traveling
Hi, I want to get one of these but there isn't a lot of info on the software. Does it come with the keyboard, or do I download it? If I need to download it, where from?
Yep it should work fine however if you want between 1 and 4 macros keys, however if you want a lot more I'd recommend a full size Keyboard that has a lot more macro keys on it
It's a personal thing. The K583 or IDA is easier to get used to as the spaces bar placement is the same as a normal keyboard. The K585 or DITI uses an unconventional layout that encourages people to orientate their hands and keyboard differently.
If you're talking about the key caps they are double shot so they should last really long but at the end of the day you can't tell until you've been using one for a long time
It's going to depend on you. If you have a little extra cash and you want more space to move your mouse then yes. If you need a good full size keyboard and feel that you have enough space for your mouse, then no
@@HappysTech yo thank for the reply I’m a small creation with 5 family subs and play on controller looking to up my game thank sooooo much this much better a buy a whole key board
I’m the 100 th sub
Lol thanks man. I hope to make more subscribe worthy content.
Great review bro! Just bought one out of impulse and wanted to make sure that i was somewhat informed. Thank you for being straightforward!
Thanks man. Mine was also a little bit of an impulse buy driven by curiousity
@@HappysTech i have a problem with the key mapping of ESC and G1-G4, i cannot remap them, and they often respond with random keys.
By default your PC will see them as f1-f4. I had to recently reset mine and re do the mapping. (I had to follow in the manual where it was quite easy)
How does this man not have 100k subs!!!???? Great review and good luck👍👍👍
Thanks man. New content in the works to help get me there... Eventually
Suggestion: Put the music a little lower.
Thanks for the feedback!

I never thought about that, thanks for the insight. Makes me laugh though because it was advertised as a PubG keyboard lol.

A purely Marco board utilizes unique drivers the IDA uses standard keyboard drivers making it require more effort to turn all the keys into macro keys

good to see creators with almost same subs as myself. Goodluck bro :)

I don't see myself ever using this... looks super cool though.
I said the same thing at first and now it's my go to peripheral, after my mouse.
How long is the cord

@@HappysTech Thanks do you know if it'd work on Xbox or not or would I need an adapter
As far as a the Cable goes it should plug into your Xbox without an issue, However I wouldn't be able to guarantee your Xbox will support it.
@@demay5581 It'll probably support it as a regular qwerty keyboard. Any extra settings wouldn't come along with it.
Thanks dude it helped alot👌👍🔥🙏
I'm glad it helped. as long as my videos can help or entertain 1 person my job is done.

It is plug and play. Unfortunately no 3rd party software.
Great review I just ordered one 😊
Thanks man. I hope this review helped you make a good choice.
Yo Happy guy. Please do a Tutorial on the Recording and other buttons. AKA, Setup, and so on. I just got my keyboard and Redragon mouse.
Definitely a Video worth making.
I shall add it to my little production Schedule.
im just looking for additional programmable buttons i can use without messing up with my actual keyboard, will these do?

@@HappysTechdoes it have only 4 programmable keys? but what is possible to set on other keys? only single keys?
If you can only play games using one hand, a one handed keyboard is a must!
You know what... I think you're on to something.
As a one handed gamer, could I use this on its own without a mouse?
With some key remapping, creativity and skill. sure
@@HappysTech Thank you. I will certainly look into it.
Can u type with that?
Depends on what word you wanna type
@@HappysTech I mean like typing on a nokia cellphone so, I don't need to use my full size keyboard

I havent been making videos as long as Linus I still have a lot to learn before my content is worth that many subs.
Good review.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
good vid. I have the K585 (i really like it) and i am now getting the K583. i want to see that the difference between the 2. i will be keeping both.
Thanks man, lots of work goes into improving every video. Would you be using each of your One handeds on different computers?
@@HappysTech no, just comparing them to see which 1 feels better for me. i will probably keep the other for a back up.
I notice a lot of people dont like placement of spacebar on the 585 Does the 583 solve this problem
@@dougmathieson yes, personal opinion. It does seem to be more of a natural placement for my thumb.

They are to use with laptops. Laptop replacement keys are not cheap. This is ideal for a laptop.
I have never seen them marketed for use with a laptop specifically but that is a good use case for a one handed keyboard.
