Great explanation and demonstration, but I thought you are now supposed to swab your cheeks and the back of your throat before your nostrils in order to get a better sample to detect Omicron with a RAT. Is your test not a regular RAT?

Hey There! There are a lot of different products out there for home rapid antigen testing (RAT) for COVID 19, so it is important to know which particular product you are using and what the included instructions describe as the process for sample collection. As far as sensitivity of any test increasing due to the location of the swab alone I have seen only one study publishing information stating this clearly. There was a study published early 2022 showing nasal swabs to be superior to throat sabs for the Binax Now test by Abbott Labs (antigen tests)

Since the date I posted this video the general technique for nasal sample collection has not changed for RAT at home tests.
