- We show each step for using the BinaxNOW shallow nasal swab self test which gives COVID-19 test results after 15 minutes. This over-the-counter home test is available at drug stores for $23.99 and the kit includes two tests.

I felt very anxious looking at the printed instructions but the video made it look easy and it was. I did note the brief steps printed on the test card were superb. When you are sick, anything greater than a paragraph is too much to read 😁
This. I just took one this morning and I felt so anxious and when I started reading the instructions my head started to spin even more!

I have filed several complaints about the nearly-illegible instructions included by Abbott in the test kits. An abomination, and people should complain to Abbott, to ADA departments, to their State, to the U.S. CDC, etc. - I do wonder, however, with this and other instructions, if 1 to 3/4 inches in the nostrils, is sufficient, as this is not close to the nares at the upper end of the nostrils.

Don't forgot to look depressed when your preforming the test. It's a very important step!

@@AK-gg2yk my employer asked for a picture of the results and said to wait atleast 5 days and to get tested again but i have to get a clinic verification to see if im covid free in order for me to return to work
@@grimjar2292 This sounds like harassment, and I would contact the Department of Labor in these circumstances. (And doesn't your employer know that you could photoshop the results anyway?) And, the test is to be retaken within 3 days - if negative results - no one says anything about positive results - not even Abbott addresses this.

Thank you so much. It was even easier when we made the playback speed slow down by 50% and so we followed instructions in real time without stress, after watching it previously. Another time we had a family member play each task and pause it until we were ready for the next one.

Thank you for making this video. My son accidentally threw away the directions a few days ago when he took a test. So i was glad to see a step by step walk through of taking this specific test.
The pamphlet with all the languages in small print is OVERWHELMING especially when you're worried as it is. The video calmed me down and now I feel confident that I'll use this test correctly.
This one of the best home test out just a lil high for $23 plus tax. This video is very clear and straight to the point
You can get them for free from the post office, they sent me 4 in the mail
3 years later and I finally caught Covid 😭 7 days later still testing positive but symptoms are almost gone finally feeling better today.
Yeah I finally got it too even though I'm vaccinated...the newer variant is more upper respiratory than lower in the lungs like when covid first came about so it wasn't that bad.

I got sick from family members and wanted to see a video on how to do the swabs. Easier to understand than the instructions. I have been able to stay healthy through all of this until now.
I'm more of a visual learner and my work needed me to take a test (even though I know I just have the regular flu) and this helped a lot. I understand this more. Thank you.

Specifically showing the different variations of what is positive and what is negative…. which is definitely not in the instructions;If it comes with instructions at all or if you can read the instructions it does come with because its in Spanish or French thanks again!

That's what happened last time for me that's what gives me hope because I'm 5 minutes and right now and I only see one line!
I had second line after one minute… I took second test, and it was the same after a minute second line… so sorry for you all
I just took mine after 3 days of having a sore throat,headache, runny nose, small but painful cough and haning no energy. Couldn’t go to work since they asked for a covid test because of my symptoms and no lie ! Like 15 seconds after i did the swab my test came out positive and i still waited 15 minutes wishing the bottom line might fade away but nope
@@Jakoxnwuwbwub Tested positive on Jan 10 and was lucky no hospital or ER. I have tested negative twice since then. I still feel week with headaches every now and then. Just feel week still and was wondering if your symptoms are the same. I had no booster but the wife did and she also caught covid about 2 days after me. She seems to be doing better than I but I will wait on any booster shots later in the year, maybe. We did have both Pfizer shots Jan-Feb 2021. I tested for anti-bodies in September and had none so I said why take the shot if it only protects for about 3 months. I still believe if people want the covid vaccine go for it. But if you don't the Government shouldn't mandate you take it. God Bless!

Okay so what does a Negative result look like? Ugh - I gotta watch this video again! One pink line across the top! So no changes except the blue line changes to pink and no second line below that original line - means negative? Beautiful -I’m negative!

The paper instructions don’t state to use drops but this video was easy to follow.
Thanks so much for this. I wasn't feeling well the last couple of days and these days when one feels sick the first thing we think is, "Oh no Covid" especially since all precautions have been lifted. Thank goodness it was negative which was very reassuring. This video made it so easy to do.

I was trying so hard to get it right so i watched the video so closely & when it said to keep it laid flat, it was upright. Then, it said to put the drops in. I ended up putting the liquid onto the little window for the control / sample line. I had to watch it over again to realize where I went wrong. Just commenting so others know not to make this mistake.
The instruction in the box were absolute garbage. The last thing anyone wants to do is figure out some tedious complicated test when your sick and head throbbing. This video helped.

Late to the covid party. Thank you for these clear instructions. The written ones are like rocket science. I have covid and just glad I had all my immunizations and boosters because symptoms were less than having the flu or bronchitis. Taking another test today day 8 fingers crossed.
Your boosters did nothing but made make sure you got the virus. You’re telling me that you are still happily infected even after the 18 boosters and immunizers the told you to get? People are so easily brain washed these days.

I agree. I’m a little worried about some of the folks commenting how hard it is (or confusing, unclear, not explained well.) these are our fellow human beings who we must assume most of them passed HS, At least, if not college. For instance, if you can’t do this test by following along with this video, how could you get a Passing score on ACT/SAT, (I think they’re faxing those out anyway)? Or fill out a job application, or write an essay?

I’ve used these tests so many times and every time I use them the colors bleed and the test is invalid. However I wasn’t putting the liquid in slowly or 30 seconds before I twirled the swab around in it- so I’m going to do that and see if it works
Can you scan the barcode on this test to the NAVICA app to get a digital pass to show employers ? I heard no, only the BINAX test pack with 6 tests in it, but then what is the barcode for?

Have either of you figured out how to use the QR code? I'm going to Chicago for a basketball game and I need to have a covid test done within 48 hours of the start of the game with a time stamp on the test..I was told that I have to use the QR code from the test to scan and it will give me a time stamp of my results to present at the arena....so I'm trying to see if this particular test will allow me to get that actual time stamp...has anyone tried it?
