- Pair a PS4 Controller With Your Amazon Fire TV Stick or Cube
A Playstation 4 controller (and I bet a Playstation 5 controller when it comes out) can be paired and used with your Amazon Fire TV Stick or Cube. You're going to be able to use it going forward and anytime you turn on the Playstation controller and the Fire Stick the two will re-pair and you can play games. If you do have trouble, make sure you update your Amazon Fire TV Stick and/or your Fire TV Cube! Your PS4 Controller should have a full battery as well.

My Playstation 4 controller won't ever pair. It just keeps acting like it doesn't detect it. I have the original Playstation 4 controller from the release date I'm 2013. Is that the problem? Do first generation controllers not work or what's the problem?
Just do the full reset. I am not sure if it's in this video but there's a way to basically clear everything with these controllers. I think it's got something to do with the track pad and another button if I remember correctly
@@TechYourLife1 So it doesn't matter of if the Playstation 4 controller is first generation? Because some people are saying only the second generation works because second generation has a light bar in the middle of the track pad as well as the light at the top and the first generation doesn't have a light in the middle of the track pad. Only at the top so maybe that's the problem? I don't know but it sucks that if that is the case that I have to buy another controller when the first generation still has Bluetooth built in it. I'm screwed with the first generation Xbox one controllers which have no Bluetooth only the second generation does. If you can find the video your talking about please send me the link because I to see if I can somehow get the controller to work.

So clearly, there's an update or a version of the device not working. Have you been able to pair anything Bluetooth with your Fire TV Stick?
And what version of the Fire Stick are you using? 4K, standard?
I paired my ps4 controller to my firestick a couple weeks ago and it worked perfectly and now it doesnt want to connect it keeps saying try pairing wireless controller in setting again pls help
@@eonthomas3702 I'm having the same problem here. It's a fire tv standard and I perfectly connect my earbuds by Bluetooth to them.
It doesnt seem to work so well with second gen firesticks, at least from what peeps in the forums say

How do you get the games? I cant track down the games
There are a few games now on the Apps section of the interface. You can also sideload just about anything, though they don't all work. Try Stadia sideloaded :)
Why headfree doesn't work on controller?
I don't think that's standard for Bluetooth controllers so...you're just getting a basic BT connection.
Can it be that you can no longer pair / connect a Ps4 controller with the Fire Tv 4K Stick and installed the latest firmware?
About a year ago I used my Ps4 controllers 100% several times to play on the Fire TV, but currently I cannot connect any of my 5 Ps4 controllers to the 4k stick because the stick simply cannot find the controllers anymore. :(
Thank you for your efforts, but I just managed to outsmart the fire tv 4k Stick and reconnect a ps4 controller myself.
I started my mocute 054 controller with the latest firmware in MTK / PC mode for android (in normal android auto mode, the fire tv couldn't find the mocute controller either), then I was able to connect it to the 4k stick and during the mocute connected, I was able to connect a ps4 controller to the fire tv 4k stick as an additional controller. But if I terminate the connection to the mocute and completely remove it, the fire tv will strangely not find the ps4 controller again if I have also removed it.
Really crazy. ^^
Well, no matter, the main thing is that a ps4 controller can now be connected to my fire tv 4k via bluetooth using this trick and used without any problems.
My experience just made may also help other connection problems between the ps4 controller and the fire tv 4k. :)
I find the PS4 controllers just need a full reset sometimes. There's a little pin hole to do that in. Then they seem to connect fine. I'm betting it's some kind of device buffer that gets filled up.

Try the Amazon Fire TV app, it's a controller.
It pairs but nothing happens. The buttons won't respond

I bought a Firestick 4K for Christmas and had the exact same problem;
My old model PS4 controller would pair with the Firestick, the light would be a solid white but none of the buttons did anything.
Although the device only just having been updated, I let it check for updates, updated it to 6.2.7.7 and the controller suddenly worked as expected.
I did have some trouble trying to re-connect the controller after having paired it with my PS4 again. Had to do several rounds of resetting the controller, unplugging and plugging the fire stick and trying to pair it through settings, but it worked eventually 😂
@@luckymouse1988 Yeah so! I actually did a test the other day and my PS4 controller would only pair after a full reset. Not just the pair reset, but that full reset. Glad you got it to work!
Way too much latency to be playable
I haven't had a ton of latency actually. Could be cause I'm not trying to play incredibly complex games, but Terraria on Steam was even playable...so I dunno.
The only problem I had was the controller would not turn on then I just found out it was dead
The batteries are annoying!!🤣
