The black you made looks more like brown to me. BTW isn't white also a primary color ? I don't think you can get it by mixing any different colors with each other.
Zoran Zabcik- Hello, yes you are correct what you are seeing a 'brown' in the video I can using foodcoloring to demonstrate the color theory. If we were using paints, namely acrylic it would be quite possible that the mixing of all the colors would be much much darker. And to answer the question of white as a primary color- this is where some colorists agree and some do not, according to one site I read " The Color Theory of White. There are differing opinions among color theory purists whether white should be considered a color at all, since it represents the absence of hue or chroma, and cannot be made from the three primaries, as black theoretically can be" In my honest opinion, I would say Yes , its a primary color. For the video I used pure water. As in pure white. Excellent comment.
@@smartkoko3961 Absolutely. Amber. Love that color! If I make a new video on color-ology that would be an excellent label to use in the color collection.
Medha, hello. The video I just give a general name to the colors in that family. But I see what your request is for - the name of the color that I created in the video using the mixed colors. I will do this on future videos. Thank you!
@maheersadventure3464 - I have seen that before- I would like to shed some light on that. What you have is 'doubling-up" of color and an illusion. Teal is a bi-tone color, its made of a composition of equal amounts of green and blue. Next purple is equal parts of red and blue. Now you have the chemical composition of G1, R1, and B2. Thus, blue is the prime color shown. So by mixing Teal and Purple the end result will be mostly blue.
User-nj2pi4jy9s- Yes correct, Theoretically, if the color was not transparent, it would be black. In color theory, I should have used paints to recreate this tutorial, but the food coloring was fast and easy and wouldn't require minutes of mixing to create.
Teddie- Orange is in a class all its own. So when the value of red is mixed with yellow- then we have a new color. When red stops being red, and we see it as a new color. Good question.
Hello Jess! I am in my 50s so this must be the new new generation texting or some young people comment what does "Rwc" mean? -- I Googled it , and it said " Red Wood City" HAhahah-- that's in California.. I've been there.
Thanks
Parul- You're welcome
