I'm still happy with my interpretation of the song but realizing that there's so much more to it, without knowing the history of the group and not being much of an intellectual as far as paintings and classical music goes, yeah I thought that there's no way I'm gonna figure most of this out.

I'm so glad you are enjoying Red Velvet. They are one of a kind. I left you a whole novel about what Red Velvet means to me on your community post in which you thanked everyone for the RV reception. They're a very special in the hearts of a lot of folks. As for the song, I'm okay with it. It's definitely not what I expected and/or wanted, but that's a classic Red Velvet move. That's what they do. In yet another classic Red Velvet move, all of the B-sides are superb. One of them has synths and a slap bass that IMMEDIATELY became my favorite. They're known for having B-sides that are just as popular as, in some cases more popular than, some of the the title tracks.
I hope you keep reacting to them. They have some wild MVs that I'd love to see you experience. 😂 You should check out "Russian Roulette" to start off. It's a classic. Thanks for the reactions!

There's a painting in the MV that's called "The Garden of Earthly Desires" and I read a theory that this symbolizes the creation of Kwangya.
Ohhhh, that's a big concept throughout the SM "Universe", that's so cool if that's true!

This wouldn't surprise me. SM is hellbent on fusing all artists under SM into this multiverse.
At least they fit the theme well with the MV and didn't mention any of the terminologies in the song.
@@mxm7647 Yeah, even Taeyeon's INVU is also part of kwangyaverse. It's not an issue that they want to do this to all their artists they just have to make sure they match it well with the respective images of the groups.

I saw at twitter that the MV heavily based from a work called "Garden of Earthly Delights".
In the last chorus scene, The dark giant fell and their body got seperated into 2 pieces. The yellow room where the member gathered together while wearing black outfits is inside the giants body. the last scene is a teaser for Seulgis Solo
Correction: forget about Seulgi being the "Treeman." She actually might reference the beaked demon in one of Bosch's paintings, considering that both Seulgi and the demon is seated in an odd-looking chair/pedestal. In the painting, the demon is portrayed as devouring people in hell, and defecates them through the hole on that seat

Since the MV references Hieronymus Bosch's paintings (painter of Garden of Earthly Desires), I can see the correlation between Seulgi and the "Treeman." The Treeman is a creature in Bosch's paintings which has tree stumps for limbs, and which was theorized to be Bosch's self-portrait.
Then there are the numerous strange creatures (the beaked people) which looked like those unearthly creatures from Bosch's heavenscape/hellscape paintings.

4:05 is literally why they are the name "red velvet" in that they are advocating to accept duality the good and the bad in life. The result of doing so leads to happiness since life is experienced in its fullest rain and shine. Nice work!

The MV was inspired by the painting from Hieronymus Bosch
calledThe Garden of Earthly Delights (1503-1515) and other famous paintings
What the dark vibe it gets out is due to the fact that its referenced in the painting called "Garden of Earthly Delights" by Hieronymus Bosch, between 1490 and 1510. (You should check the painting out! hahahah.). The painting is like a visual representation of humanity not resisting the sinful physical temptation, basically its like the concept of Garden and Eve where the forbidden fruit in the painting is in the form of strawberries and the deceiving snake is in the form of a black bird or owl; which ironically owls are the representation of wisdom and knowledge itself, which is frowned in the bible and the start of Adam and Eve's exile in the garden. The song basically tells us to be free and be ourselves, breaking our boundaries, nobody is perfect, and were all bound to create mistakes and sins, forget everything and worry no more. It tells the story of how Eve has eaten the forbidden fruit and has been gifted with Knowledge and Wisdom, and they were exiled because of that and will be forever sinned eventually going to hell. In the music video, the giant black monster was in fact a demon, and they were inside it in the part where they are all dressed in black with a yellow background. The ending clip after the MV is the owl or basically the deceiving snake in the garden.
This is just my observation and my understanding of the lore. HAHAHAHAH I am open to other opinions as well. STAN RED VELVET!❤❤❤❤

Youre right it's both Dark and light. Red Velvet constantly express themselves as a duality. Red for bright and pop/hip-hop like their songs Red Flavor, Dumb dumb and Happiness. Velvet for smooth R&B style like Automatic, Be Natural, Bad Boy. Kind of same idea as Black Pink xs10.

I think the lyrics of this song is part2 of Zimzalabim. Both album use the concept "Reve Festival" I think Zimzalabim and Feel My Rhythm have a similar vibe is inviting to the festival, dont be shy and let's Dance. In Zimzalabim, they invite to join the Reve amusement park, but Feel My Rhythm seems like they invite to have fun in the reve wonderland.
this MV is a masterpiece work of art .they literaly cover some of the most prestigious painting . and the sample of they're song is a song made by Jean -sebastien Bach.
