I did a trial with one of these in Health class, and I didn't think the crying was that bad (although I'm fairly family oriented), and I'm excited to bring the baby home in January. :)
Awww, I wish my Health teacher in 10th grade has us do this...I really like babies, so I think I would have enjoyed something like this.
i had to take care of one of these for a trial experiment for school since the school i went to was so low budget we didn't have these for health until three simulator dolls were donated to the school. I must say this doll did interrupt class time, take up free time and what not but the year i did this (Jr. Year) I had some depression and even mentioned to a school councelor some suicidal ideas (of course I never attempted anything i was just angry) Bottom line, this project healed my depression
i had to use one of these when i was in the "20th century sister hood" club at my middle school. ah, good times. sad thing was i was the only girl that got an A on that parenting project. i miss my little hunter. i loved the experience.
I loved taking care of my electronic baby when I was in high school, and was so glad these were what we got instead of eggs like prior generations. I cannot have anymore children due to having a tubal ligation, and lost my two. I wonder if.... If maybe something like this would mend the hurt or just deepen it.
WOW, they've come a LONG way since i had to take one home! That was back in 1997 and it was much easier than that!!
I get to do this project this weekend for my Parenting class.

These babies are very good for teens. Its alot of work. I did this in high school but years ago. I like it alot an like 6years ago I buyed one so I use it whenever I want an can program it on easy mode medium or hard mode. I do hard mode an medium all the time, Guess I'm odd cuz I like it so much. But i;m trying to have a real baby of my own now.
im going to be doing this when i get into 9th grad i cant wait!!!! becuase my sister did it and i was the one who was taking care of it most of the time and is was so fun

As crazy as those babies made me, i did a very good job with mine, probably would never leave, i was scared it would cry if i made a mistake

it just depends on your schools curriculum. for me, it's the end of 8th grade, if you take family and consumer science.
No, they want you know think that taking care of a baby is a lot of hard work, which it is.

I agree, but its a matter of opinion whether raising children is easy or not.
got mine right now, only time it's hard to take care of is when it's being fussy (doesn't know what it wants)

GOD I had to take one of this things home I had to keep it from Friday to Monday it was driving me crazy O_O
I had one of those shits and it ruined my whole freakin weekend it woke me up like 3 times at night..at one point i just taped the bottle to its mouth and its so freakin heavy after a while and u gotta keep rocking it till it stops crying

Ya i feed mine for 20 minutes and after that another 20 minutes. Keeps making this weird sound.
@talisstercustauri: Well, first off, I cannot afford to raise a child. I know my limitations, and I will not fall back on welfare just to have a baby, that is wrong. Secondly, an adopted child would not be -my- child. I might grow to love them, but I don't think I could ever bond with them the way one bonds with a child of their own blood. Maybe saying that makes me a bad person, I don't know, just being honest and trying to do what's best for all involved.

2 to 3 times on average? Mine cried 9 times the first night, and 7 times the second night. All up it cried 67 times :(

@ceeceefiya well...I was 16 then and I'm 21 now and I help raise my Nephews now so I think I've learned a lot with age. I had the baby years ago! LOL so far my Nephews are turning out great. haha.

Some of them yes. There is one baby. Not sure if it this one though. But if hte baby wants a bottle you can put a pen in his mouth and it will shut up.
