Jake, thank you for taking the time to show this behind the scenes footage. So happy I found your page and got your vinyl! Keep inspiring us mere mortals.
Jake, I’m not joking, this is one of the best drum videos I’ve watched , love that perspective you shot and tapping those toms oh my gosh, and love hearing about real gigs,. Keep ‘em coming.
Thanks for this, Jake! Only caught on to your channel recently but am seeing lots of unique content-this was something I'd never get a chance to experience (and I live in So Cal!) and it was a treat to hear and see. Maybe you have more like this I need to watch. You don't need it (you work hard) but wishing you good luck!
That's epic. The Phil's principal percussionist Matt Howard gave a masterclass where I was studying, which was intense. Who else was in the rhythm section?
😂 I already replied with this on someone else’s comment, but my guess is it’s because they probably only setup 4 tom mics thinking that’s what I was bringing and they didn’t want to have to move dozens of mics all over by one channel to fit in one more tom mic.
@@JakeReedmusic this makes sense, and i undestand being a sound engineer myself, still weird because i think you sent a rider of what your kit was. at the end of the day, if it sounded good, all good, that's what matters in the end

Thanks for giving insight. Have a good coffee before the ceremony starts.☕
Drums ... Music ... Life.
Thanks for taking 'us' along.
Awesome brother, and well deserved. I'm also glad to see you were still representing the Burgundy stache 😎
Epic drumming! Must be amazing to play live with the Phil. Congrats!
Thanks! Yes, it’s a real pleasure and I’m grateful to get to do it every once in a while!
What an amazing opportunity!
Livin the dream, Jake! Sounds amazing. 🙌🏼🙌🏼👌🏼

That’s so awesome! I’m jealous.

Very cool!
Its the behind the scenes footage that makes me nervous, and I wasn't even playing! Thanks Jake
Nice work. Watching from Ireland
I love my Brooklyn kit!!
Awesome gig! Good luck man!
I think you really wanted to show off the slick hair cut 😁
Looking and sounding wonderful Sir!
That's awesome ! way to go Jake!
Thank you!

Matt is an amazing percussionist! We were in music school together at USC.
@@JakeReedmusic Ah no way!
Were Andrew and Sean in "the band" too?
hope you got to play to some songs from the original Disney 'Jungle Book'!
We did!
Sick dude! Congrats 🎉
had a great night, had no idea you were back there👌🔥
Oh awesome! Rad that you were there!
Great video.
Awesome, Jake…wish I could’ve done this one with you!
Paul!!! Hopefully soon!
Big. Time. for-real. 🏆
Nice set up Jake!! Out of curiousity, what made you go with the Brooklyn toms vs the USA's? Thanks Jake!!
The Brooklyn’s sound a little more open to me which is nice for something like this!
Great ‼️‼️‼️
very nice dude, interested to see 1 mic between 2 toms. lol thought this is only what us poor guys have to do when we tight on channels😄

playing at the bowl for a disney concert and they didn't have another 904 to properly mic up the toms? wtf...
Prob b/c they only expected 4 toms and didn’t want to have to move all 150 channels or whatever it is over by one slot.

@@DavideGuerri i sent no rider lol. The smaller toms speak pretty well into the overhead mics. Probably didn't even need that close mic anyway!
@@JakeReedmusic well, no rider-> i bring 4 tom mics, it all makes sense now lol i do the same at gigs where i don't have a rider from the band
The singer is not first choice. Super dead, so to speak.😂
