THUMB'S Up For COPPER !!! Yeahhhhhh !!!
I don't trust my scrap yard when weighing copper in a container. So I do what you guys do but wrap about 3 lbs. of copper around my hand and throw it in the tub like donuts. THEN I string about 12 of those on a 3 ft. copper wire like a fish on a stringer. Tie it off at the top and then the whole thing can be laid out on the scrapper's scale like a Christmas wreath with no take-off for the tub.

Unfortunately We Only Have 2 Yards Here And They Pay The Best And Are The Closest But This Is An Awesome Idea So I Dont Get Ripped For The Bin Lol Thanks WhereMyChicken Love The Name !! LOL

Love stripping copper in my shop...so relaxing!! When you take this load to the yard and they weigh your bin for the deduction, write that number on the outside of your bin in permanent marker. The bin weight won't change, you'll know exactly how much to deduct when you weigh at home, and the yard can't claim a different number each time for the same exact bin!
Or just weigh the bin at home for an honest weight and mark it.
Zubics in London, ON pays $1.63 for number one wire which for your 30lbs would get you $48.90 and they pay $3.67 for bare bright so for 28lbs you more than double your money at $102.76. Nice to average over $25 an hour. Great video.

🚨We bought a wire stripping machine with a motor it was about $180 it was definitely worth it we strip about 30 to 60 lb in about an hour to two hours our bear Brits only paying about $2.35 here in the US the stripping machine with the motor was definitely worth it it is very safe to use and makes things go very fast I think you guys should invest in that one. 🤑
This was pretty much the same machine that we bought and it works very well and it was very worth the price that we paid for it.

Really enjoyed your video, both. I find it fascinating the difference between the size of copper you have in Canada compared to the UK. Our house cable wire is the same, be interesting to see you strip house appliance wire. As Ian Matthews says about the scrap goddess, after watching yourselves and Cycle Scrapping in Ireland, (i'm glad he got in touch, or you found each other somehow, both channels compliment each other) i'm wondering when i'll get my fair share😂😂😂. I think Cycle Scrapping with copper at the moment, he's out doing everybody!!! Should rename his channel King of Copper😂😂😂. Excellent video, as always can't wait for the follow up videos. I strip thousands of pounds at a time. I did get a industrial type wire stripper. Used to do it with one similar to yours, killed my arms.

I’m confused a bit, 33.4 lbs before stripped and the vinyl weighed 33.4 lbs after stripped lol so I did this same thing in the summer when prices was low. It only made me $18 more now the price is up I could make $50 more. But it’s just that easy to sell as is for me we’re getting $1.68 insulated and $2.68 bare.
that was the sheathing and copper together lol
we only get 0.80 cents or so a pound for romex but 3.47$ for bare bright :)

We have the same stripper having a hard time stripping wire .we have the same wire ?
we did at first too but eventually we got the hang of it. try and clean the wheel the wire sits on our's was full of grease and made the wire slip off !
