before beginning first year of med school, is there anything specific you would advice to keep in mind with regards to doing pg abroad? what to focus on, some clarity on study resources and tests would be very helpful didi. Loved your presence on Anuj bhaiya's podcast, truly inspired
Thank you ❤️ If you’re just starting, I’d highly recommend studying well and developing your basics as they’re always tested on STEP1. So, the first step of the process will become much more seamless for you ✨
If i wanna pursue post grad in any US institution after completing mbbs from a reputed med school in India do they look after class 12 th board marks means am asking is 12 board marks important for usmle i have a score of 678 in neet ug but a mere 67 percent in my class 12 boards will it create any impact in my future studies abroad in US after mbbs plz clarify

I can totally understand this feeling but I'll say from my experience everyone is super supportive and do understand that you're coming new into the system. I'd say give yourself some time in the beginning to shadow someone and then get started. That really helps. All the best. You'll be fine

I had a question Ma'am, I heard you took your elective after your internship. But on the university sites online, its written that the student must be in their final year of medical school. So Ma'am, is the internship year considered the final year and can you also apply for university electives after that?

I did elective towards the end of my internship. And it is the Final year of medical education for us. You can’t do electives if you’re not a medical student aka if you’re a graduate.

The pathway is pretty much the same, as long as the foreign university is recognised by WFME. When you decide to pursue these, your efforts in their respective directions matter a lot, including rotations, LORs, research. So, if you have to choose, go to a uni with more of USMLE/PLAB /AMC culture. That’d make the process smoother :) All the best :)
