i know this comment section is long dead, but i still wanted to say something about this, since i keep thinking about it. this sounds like something potentially going to be used in the purified zones, as a battle theme alternate to pepper steak. the beginning of it definitely has that strange feeling. it even utilizes the noises of you or an enemy hitting you as a beat in some sections-like it’s reminiscent of when you were here and caused all this. the eerie piano notes also give a tone of something definitely off, to solidify the eerie feeling of purification itself as you go through the game. i kinda wish this would play when you fight a one of those beasts in the purified zones, it sets an even stronger tone of the fact that what you’re doing to these places, these people, might not be as good as you thought.
If it did play in pure zones, i think it might play only in the later ones or after you collect the grand item, because i think the sheer fear the secretaries envoke on a first encounter is not something i would give up for this song

I think it should have been the judge's fight theme if you sided with the Batter. I think that Avatar Beat is more fitting for the alarming appearance of The Batter, and the Judge's view of him for all that he's done. But for the Batter, The Judge is just another brick in the wall; another head to cave in, eliciting this casual battle theme.

The early Silent Hill games were an inspiration for this game (Mostly in the final level, The Room). I can definitely hear the Silent Hill influence in this song.

Mortis said that he would tell ACC the kind of atmosphere he wanted in a specific scene, then ACC would make him listen to the songs he produced. According to Mortis, it was perfect almost everytime.
