    My grandfather was a miner in Durham the Chapman family I have lots of family I have never meet in the North East.

    I remember working on School st in the 90s when they were all refurbished, it was a shadow of its former self!

    Brilliant documentary on a lost way of life respect to the miner's who worked in these collierys my Dad was a miner and my grandfather and family members on my dad's side and on my mum's side of the family. Both governments Labour and Tory couldn't give a monkey's about the miner's they got sh-t on in the 1960s the labour government shut more pits down more than the Tory lot. The North East area closed hundreds of pits that could of gone on for 30 plus year's FFS 🧐🤨
