Dragon mage being able to burn and support was already a thing, lunar’s buff from kills was a thing before passive descriptions, solar’s buff after waves passed was a thing, overlord’s support and so on.

I wouldn't say that AV is killing tds games, the top dogs of av alt defenders and als are still pulling in alot of players (also AV indeed has alts but not to the extent of Alt defenders) (Another note to Als, Als won't die because it's the best f2p tds on the platform, it just lacks insane quality but I'm pretty sure they do that to retain the bi weekly schuelde)
