P-38L-5-L0 alleviates some of the problems that the other P-38s have.

After your previous video on the p38 I did try it out and enjoyed quite a bit. I'd like to see a video on a tempest, I've flown those recently and they feel underwhelming
The flaps on the Tempest are so bad, combat flaps rip off at 350kph ias
you dive like a bat into hell, so basically the entire game is spent dragging enemies to the deck
@@dsdy1205 the problem is that the plane's only strength is energy retention, It's not fast, it dives decently but compresses like a fuck. It certainly is faster than Japanese aircraft and fairly easy to aim for me.

As always! Great video. Hope you doing well. The airfield thing is the worst problem for me... i cant stand it.
Compression isn't always the right term.
It applies to the effects of passing the wing's critical mach number, where the airflow goes supersonic. Not the plane going supersonic, just the airflow.
At this point the airflow detaches behind the widest point of the airfoil, leaving very little air for the ailerons to work with. This happens to every part of the plane at a certain point, including the stabilizers.
What Defyn refers to is more that the controls stiffen up or lock up because the force of the air pressure is higher or almost as high as the force to move the control surfaces.

A video on the P-61C would be nice. It is more sluggish than the P-38, but you have quad 20mm cannons and a quad .50cal rotating turret covering almost everything above you and at your sides.
Also, radar, air spawn and some of the craziest air brakes in the game

The P-38 LO is fantastic, by far the most enjoyable prop plane! Only struggeling against Ta-152h and Bf-109K, but maybe thats just me.
The airbreak adds to the versatility when booming and reversing :D
Try XP-50, pretty much as capable but 1 full br lower. It's in the warbond shop this season too.

I'd like to hear what you think about new gun sounds, Defyn.
I have a love hate relationship with this thing. It is always the highest plane and you can dictate the fight, but the guns are frustrating for me and I mainly get assists. Also the elevator pull sucks.
I could not stress this enough for players to keep their altitude advantage and to please not lose it all for one bomber/attacker down below

F-5A wing G load has been reduced apparently and surface controls got slightly weaker too I think, is it still good tho?
I really wanted to see more videos on it. But not sure if the changes made a big enough difference for you to dislike it.

Almost all WT pilots are prop-pilots. A very small minority of them have achieved BR8+.
Even that small minority of pilots, still looks back fondly on their prop-only days.

I'm not so sure the p38L vs 190 a5/u2 is a sure thing in a knife fight. I've beaten plenty of those p38s on the defensive using throttle control and flaps, the a5/u2 is a beast of a 190. The only US planes that consistently give me trouble in that area are the notorious xp planes but those are ufos anyway
anything American is much better than their counterparts in the same BR. It's just that US players are dumb as a rock.

@@fabioamaral1791 default should be "x". The lock function works by locking onto whatever your camera is looking at, so you can just unlock by pressing it while pointing your camera at an empty patch of sky
