Not so fast. Unless you live here it’s speculation. No one an afford lake Keowee. Only millionaires. Water is beautiful but by the time you buy a lot, most can’t afford a 2m home. I can not comment on Lake Murry because I don’t live there. And on Lake Hartwell, it’s ok until there is a drought and the core of engineers draw the lake down as much as 10’ during summer. If there is plenty of rain not a problem. You best purchase on deep water or you’ll have an expensive marsh out back. We always drove an hour out of way to Keowee because our boat always became so dirty in Hartwell. People need to know the deal before they spend a ton of money and get burnt
I have lived there and played on all of the lakes. I still hold the record on Murray for the most linear feet of lakefront property sold and the Only private island to be sold. These destinations are towns around the lakes, and the prices mentioned are not lakefront. I never represented they were. They are also median prices, not averages.
Love Lake views
Yes, very relaxing and peaceful
8/24/24 Viewing; loved it!
Thank You Sir!
Also, the average home price on Lake Murray has risen substantially. Probably around 500k$.
If you are lake front, yes, actually, maybe a bit more. In a lakeside community, you can be less
@RetirementLifeSouthCarolina You either have lake front property on Lake Murray or not. You're either a have or a have not.
For Lake Hartwell, you mention Westminster but not Clemson? WTF!
This video is about towns for folks who are looking to retire. Clemson, although a great town, didn't meet the criteria for a retirement town
@@RetirementLifeUSA I know people who have retired there. Whatever.
Not affordable for me as a single woman.

Please quit promoting sc for retirees. Trust me locals are not happy about it!
