The people from Ethiopia holding a rock concert for the dude's town is not a local joke, its quite obvious. Western countries always have rock concerts to raise money for poverty stricken countries in African including Ethiopia,. so them holding a rock concert for that town just shows how dire their situation is. I suggest you watch Frankie's Michael Jackson's Childrens Hospital. Frankie is as dark as dark humour gets, and its brilliant!

A great reaction guys. There is a basic rule to remember when listening to British comics roasting towns & teams. They are either calling them posh snobs, impoverished with no money, or inbred. As to Frankie's set. This is what he does when he finishes a few prepped jokes & pieces, & needs something to do before he starts the next set. Also you being on the front row doesn't matter at all. If you catch his eye for any reason you will be targeted. Whatever row you are on.

You'd walk out if he roasted you? Not in Glasgow ma man, you'd end up getting it from everybody as you made ur way out.😂 Glasgow is a tough no nonsense city so the humour is dark and harsh. To be fair to Frankie although he is savage he's a clever fecker as well, he has slowed his accent down as well so non Glaswegians can understand him, to us natives he sounds a lil like he's had a stroke.😂

We don't have any George Carlin etc type comedians because our free speech doesn't cover it.

It's if you can question your government or not...
      The owners that be
We can barely protest in England anymore
We have no stand ups who dare take on governments
      It was ok decades ago...
      Spitting image for example
But it's been clamped down on
Obviously online we can escape that some what..
And comedy clubs aren't policed as such
      But on TV etc..
      It isn't allowed at all
The UK doesn't have much free speech left at this point
America has a lot more of it
We can diss each other when Americans struggle with that, but Americans shoot eachothed over the types of disses we use...
So it's not a policy that stops them being like us
It's just their culture stops it

If anyone thinks he’s going overboard with the kids in the audience, it’s because there should NOT be kids in the audience, there are signs everywhere and everyone knows what Frankie Boyle is like so it’s a reminder to stupid parents who are thinking of being ‘cool’ and taking their kids along. Why should he have to tone things down because you brought your brat. Your kid will be traumatised.

    • @Fangtorn
