Great video. Shouldn't the 3 upper strut mount bolts be tightened and torque while the wheel is on the ground to insure that strut mount is seated correctly?

You dont need to hammer down on the spindle to remove the shock. Just get an 8mm Allen key and grind the short end of the Allen key on 2 sides to make a point which is the same tool used by Volvo. You just wedge it between the pinch on the spindle below the bolt hole where there a slot for this and turn it 45 degrees down which opens up the pinch in the spindle to release the shock. See Moose Tech Garage here on how to do it th-cam.com/video/p-swy5KB-DM/w-d-xo.html or you could even just use a chisel and hammer it between the wedge to spread the spindle to release the shock

@@smartbox123tv Yeah I saw that video. For sure use it if you've got it and it works. I tried to pry it apart but it still didn't really come off, maybe poor leverage? Got in the way when hammering so I didn't try it again.

Another trick is to use the Pinch Bolt and a thin flat piece of metal as per this video th-cam.com/video/QBBkyDfnHtg/w-d-xo.html
