When I was on the Police Department as a Dispatcher they were our best options for dinner during the Midnight (Hoot Owl) Shift 11 PM to 7 AM. Fun seeing them still being served up!
Yup , i remember going to husky truck stop when i was a kid with my parents and they often got the open face beef or turkey sandwich. Mashed potatoes , peas & corn, covered in gravy.... now i am hungry lol

Hi Mav, I went to Vancouver, Canada back in the day to see The Who. I stayed in a hotel in the middle of downtown and I noticed that during the day, downtown is buzzing, it's craziness in a good way. So I'm on the top floor of whatever hotel I was staying at, and I'm staring out the window looking down at the city, and after midnight it's like a ghost town! It was a trip because everyone disappeared, and there was a street sweeper going around cleaning up the town! Very clean! I've never seen anything like that in Seattle. I thought it was pretty cool. There's really no point to my story, I just remembered that when you mentioned the street sweeper so I thought I'd share. Keep on Truckin Mav 🤘🎸🎶💙

There's Parc National des Hautes-Gorges or/and Les Grands Jardins too if you want. Enjoy your trip wherever you're heading. :)
Cool vids! If you ever head to Manitoba…….stay away from Winnipeg…too many thieves…lol. I moved out of there 10 years ago. Too many horrible stories of visitors getting their buses, vans, trailers, cars busted into and all stuff is taken. Everywhere else in Manitoba is the best!
OMG you are in Canada, if you came earlier in the season there are several wild hotsprings to visit in BC. Right now is rainy season and most of them are washed out. You would have loved it, these hotsprings are out in the wood & on logging roads.

So, Mav, I'm from Montreal and you made your hot chicken sandwich quite complicated for a van-lifer!! ;) That brown sauce, you can buy in a can (the St-Hubert BBQ sauce is the best), and you buy canned peas. It's so much more simple. You have that meal in 2 minutes flat (if you have a microwave)...
Next truck build you should make the cooking side like a popup coffee table to save space when not in use but be able to pop it up when you want to cook or eat.
We have them in Minnesota but u can have beef or pork or chicken, and they are served with mashed potatoes they call them hot pork or whatever meat ur using at sportsman's in Deer River or pretty much any place has them

So, Mav, I'm from Montreal and you made your hot chicken sandwich quite complicated for a van-lifer!! ;) That brown sauce, you can buy in a can (the St-Hubert BBQ sauce is the best), and you buy canned peas. It's so much more simple. You have that meal in 2 minutes flat (if you have a microwave)...
Next truck build you should make the cooking side like a popup coffee table to save space when not in use but be able to pop it up when you want to cook or eat.

Montreal is my hometown. I miss the food and culture so much. It's an amazing place to be a tourist!
We have them in Minnesota but u can have beef or pork or chicken, and they are served with mashed potatoes they call them hot pork or whatever meat ur using at sportsman's in Deer River or pretty much any place has them

That's my favourite place. Even went to College there. Je me souviene. (I will remember) stayed 3 yrs. Worked part time too. So many memories. Le Octogon is by there or by St Anne. Awesome place like a Bayside in eith Miami Fl or Baltimore Md. Yes the gravys everything with gravy or poutine. Brador beer too in downtown old town Montreal. Glad you had a great time. Where next? As a western Canadian i will say that you are in the middle of Canada's food district ! Montreal has amazing grub. I hope you head out west to see my side of Canadistan.
