we used to have basketball games in the gym there. went to marlboro high school nearby and kids i knew who took psych class would take a class trip there and always came back with crazy stories. shame the land is still fenced off and sitting there unused. could make a great town park.
Nice one. Looks like the power plants and the outbuildings. Is the farm area still also standing? If it is it might be worth checking out as well at a later date. Cool to see inside a spot that's not covered as much.
@@DesertifyUrbex I just read an article that they got rid of all underground tunnels. But I did find a water plant in the woods. And where the original graveyard is. I'll be going Saturday night
Sucks they demolished the main hospital, that place was creepy af. I went awhile back and walked around a bit but the state police kicked us out. The property was huge. I also remember nurse or doctor houses on the property. Great video! Really enjoyed seeing this place again. I’m sure it’s all gone by now
At around 12:50 you can hear a soft humming for a couple of seconds. I do hear alot more disembodied voices through the camera as well. Great little investigation. x
I actually would. It gives you a good intro as you can explain you got amazing evidence last time so want to come back to see if you can capture more. Perhaps ask the spirits as well who it was that was trying to come through. There were quite a few trying to come through the box and speak. Great video, I’d love to see more for sure 😊❤️
I know exactly where you're at, man! There were more than 15 "cottages" there back in the day with a guard station at the main entrance. I worked there driving methadone patients down to Asbury Park for their daily cheery juice (I was 17). This place brings back some odd memories. 😷👍 #17 for you. EDIT: If you can get into cottage #15 (and several others) you will find gated tunnels in the basement that are connected to other buildings. They have creepy, explosion-proof glass lights mounted to the ceilings. There used to be a campground across the street and also a graveyard for the patients with numbered stones and many unmarked.
@@UrbanVikingExplorers, yeah man, no doubt. Sad to see it go. A few years ago I got to visit this site. When they used to have at least three guards at the gate. They would guard the door so no one would go in. This is before they planned on demolishing the buildings. I got into a conversation with the guards. And they were nice enough to have me come back 3 days after. If I wanted with a handful of my friends. And they were going to give me a tour of the buildings. So I did it was in the first week of November I’ll never forget. And I swear to you this place is completely haunted. The place had an eerie feeling to it. The guards used to work at the hospital when it was fully operational. And told me stories of when the place used to be open. What was very shocking to me was. When they close these buildings. Everything was left behind. The patients charts and clothing, wheelchairs. They weren’t allowed to take anything with them. I took pictures of several buildings. And in the pictures you can see eerie images. I left there with A weird feeling which stood with me for days. I also heard from people that claimed that they heard voices. Years after they closed down. I know that their the souls of people that passed there. Years after the place was closed. This place is definitely haunted. I would never go there again. I still dive by a few times a year. But I know that there were too many souls that were left behind there. Great video

I’ve been there a few times and even went on the roof. Scary enough, about a month ago a worker fell through the roof and died in that room you were standing in.
I actually went to the house of the man who owned the land. He lived in a small village nearby which is now closed off from the public. The man was the local butcher and had his slaughterhouse attaches to his home. Only old locals know where it’s located these days as when I went there the entire village was overgrown
how is that possible? Mr. Allen died almost a hundred years ago and his home (which was a farmhouse on the land sold to Marlboro Hospital) was destroyed ages ago.

Tim G there are guards still at the main gates, the ones facing Big Brook Park. The cemetery in the park is a cool thing to check out, there are many unmarked Graves of the poor souls that perished. Check the back road, the name starts with a C, don't want to give up too much. If you know the area you know the road I speak of and think think you might find an entrance to the other side.
