At 3:17 you entered FRU, forensics unit. Mom used to work there. Recall taking lunch to her occasionally and entering those same doors only to be greeted by heavily sedated, mindless patients all sauntering to get to my door before it closed. Kinda like zombies. Brings back some odd memories.
The floor with (I assume) the patient rooms, with the white walls, actually looks pretty nice aside from the sketchy grid windows everywhere, lots more light and bigger rooms than hospitals today
posi FTW yes, closed because of its immense size and we needed a newer facility which was built just to the North of where this was shot. Most patients were either moved to other facilities or released to special homes within the city. A lot of different perspectives at play here.
This video is 4 years old. I can assure anyone watching that it hasn't changed, just the exterior grass and brush is more grown in. Roofs are leaking and there is more sitting water on the floor. Other than that... the same.

I work at the Brockville mental health centre, many buildings are still in use but the main hospital is abandoned, the Forensic Treatment Unit and Secure Treatment unit are still being used and currently being renovated

Justin Jones back in the 50’s & 60’s you probably would have been correct. My mom worked with criminally insane in the FRU from the 80’s into the 2010’s. Unfortunately nothing sinister going on then, patients at that time had more rights than the doctors serving them.

Hey there, I used to know a guy who had the master key and he would let me use it whenever I wanted. Sadly he no longer has that key.
